Big News!

, , ,

We hadn't gotten round to telling you yet since we were so busy and then the PC crapped out on us (see previous and following blogs) but we were reminded yesterday that we really should say something now before it's too late:

We've moved house!

We'd been looking around for a while but everything that was interesting was too expensive or too far out of town to be practical - while everything affordable in town was basically run-down old crap like where we were already staying.

But then Jazz contacted someone who was advertising they were leaving somewhere - we visited it the next day - instantly decided to take it - rushed to the agency and signed for it the day after. Soon after that we were moving already...

It's a small new house in an enclosure just north of Toulouse. Small garden and it's in the countryside... (strangely, there is one patch of fields and farmhouses left untouched just outside the péréphérique - and that's where we are) but, by amazing coincidence, around the same time we moved a new metro line was opened which connects our old place to a terminus just a couple of kilometres away! So with a short walk, bus or bike-ride we're still able to get to the centre of town in half an hour - which is perfect. smile

Hey Dicque - forgot to mention that the previous mention of "big news in July" was actually not quite right... back then we *thought* we would be moving into a different place, but that turned out to be more expensive and less practical than we expected.

It's not that big a deal - just a little house on the edge of town. But compared to where we were before... bigsmile
