I think the law is they have to get permission from everyone if this was going to be shown on TV. The people who didn't give that permission (or who they couldn't contact) get blurred out...

You could see on Amazing Race (and Amazing Race Asia) that in some European countries they had to blur out a couple of airline employees etc. In the other European countries this didn't happen - it depends on the local laws.
