W*Stock's games
Sunday, June 29, 2008 11:14:32 AM
This, coupled with the near-death of most of those games and the way the World's Longest Blog died out when she un-stickied it for a few weeks, made me realise I need to keep a list for myself and to promote it to anyone else passing by my blog as well!
I skipped out a couple of the sillier guessing games (sorry W*Stock) but here's the ones I want to keep visiting:
- Random stuff:
- The World's Longest Blog (3rd of August, 2006) - place to have random chats with random people... now approaching 10000 posts after two years
- World's Funniest Blog (3rd of August, 2007) - tell everyone your jokes here
- The games:
- Word Association Blog (1st of September, 2006) - put your Freudian mind on view for all the world to see
- New Game (16th of September, 2006) - The Name Game using the letters of celebritys' first and last names
- Make a Story (26th of September, 2006) - each player writes a few lines
- Hangman (23rd of October, 2006) - the old traditional favourite
- Another game to bore you all with (2nd of May, 2007) - another old favourite: Twenty questions
- Another new game for Mossman and anyone else who may want to play (25th of April, 2008) - good ol' I-spy
- Mossman's Twenty Questions Game (27th of April, 2008) - revival of Twenty Questions

Where's "guess a number between one and ten" then. That was a classic!
I didn't notice any difference when we un-stickied it for a bit! Still the usual crew! In fact it got people a little more excited about it for a bit!
I will continue my pointless one person campaign to try and ban copy and pasted multiple messages in there!
I might put a link to this blog on my blog as well if you don't mind.
(PS. Still reckon you'd like to play the games on facebook as well. Okay - won't mention it ever again - promiiiiiiiiseee!!!

(It is at this point that I have to admit I don't remember an I-Spy blog.)
She says "That's cos everyone pooh-poohed it!"
And she continues "101 Ways to Cheer Yourself Up will be returning soon for those that missed it!"
Oh goody!
"Yes, I have lost it working with children.

I saw the I-spy game, but I think that one died because W*Stock never answered the questions, akchewerlee!

Sounds interesting. Actually, I've heard of games like this before (since I used to play D&D, I have friends who are avid gamers - computer games, party games, board games, role-playing games, etc. etc.) and I think it should be possible.
Perhaps I could even invite a couple of those old friends to come have a go.

and my sister used to play a monthly version where you would spend one day running around the centre of town trying to find and hit your target with a water pistol. Actually, someone at work happened to mention that they regularly play it in Toulouse as well.
Here's an example of Mafia, let's see if we can figure out how it works. It would be a lot easier if someone who's played it before could guide us through a game...

Mafia is more on logical thinking, discussion, betrayal...etc. But assasin seems like more of an action based game.

That's the one which is more rustic, the kinda shop that I dream of owning... There's also another one down the streets near that Japanese Sushi bar. But that one is too tiny, and doesn't feels cosy...
