Mr Leffe The Landseer

Some do have a hard time landing

I love Macro, small things

For some time I have been trying to take macro pictures. And oh noooooooooooooooo
  It is comming out wrong all the time. I am very much longing back to my old camera
Half the picture is in total shadow :irked: :irked: :irked: Or it is not in focus so frustrating
When I use the flash it is a catastrophe everything close is dark and the background is so bright.
As I do love macro I did look at some old ones.

When I took these, my neighbour thought I was very ill crawling around in the ditch.

Or the morning when everything was dressed in ice

There was one leaf left to fall

An other day some more ice I enjoyed it.

And I am longing for this

Tomorrow is a new day for practising my macro hopefully I will find something out
Before these days of ice.

Pictures from my forest The sun , The Moon and the sky on fire

Lovely shots, Leffe!

Keep us informed ... we might be able to help. What camera is it that's giving you trouble?

MrLeffe 1. October 2009, 08:55

Thank you so much dW. The trouble maker is my Canon powershot
SX 200 IS. In this case a nightmare but I am stubborn I will
try some more and I will let you know.

derWandersmann 1. October 2009, 14:03

I suspect that stubbornness is at least partly responsible for your list of accomplishments, my dear.

And as usual Leffe, fantastic pics!! you are just getting better and better!

MrLeffe 1. October 2009, 22:22

Thank you so much Agneta we are now haveing our first freezing nights So early early jump out of bed to get the first ice and I hope the camera and my way to do this will work tomorrow.

Your macro photos are really beautiful. If I get up early one cold morning I think I'll prefer making fire in the oven, enjoy my coffee and visit Opera friends. Well, I have to go out anyway to feed the horses and let the dogs out, so maybe I just as well should bring my pocket camera one day.
Looking forward to your attempts with your new camera.

MrLeffe 5. October 2009, 08:05

Thank you norfrid so much. Soon it is time for my attempts :D :D

Yes ... when I used to visit my farmer friend in Elgin, Illinois, I always would stuff my little Retina IIIC inside my jacket before going out for the morning milking ... the light and the snow were incredible! I had to be quick, though ... at –30°F, the shutter would freeze up very quickly, and get very S-L-O-W. Those prairie winters were tough.

Although, as the Norwegians say: "There's no such thing as bad weather ... there's only bad clothes."

MrLeffe 5. October 2009, 14:52

:D :D :D i know what you mean. Soon very soon I will go for those mornings with sunrise. Usually I have the bad habit of jumping out into the field in my pyjamas. At this time of the year it is a bit cold though.   So I will plane this better :D :D :D

From your nature photos I can imagine you spent a lot of time in nature, that's so wonderful wish I could do it too.

MrLeffe 14. October 2009, 09:16

Aprilsnow Thank you so much. I do spend a lot of time in the forest I live very close to it and I have been so for many year.
