Some do have a hard time landing

I closed my eyes and put my finger on the map ....

Happy as ever I said it is not far away ...
But it was a little bit far ...

I called my father told him to get readdy
He knows me and my ideas very well ..
I made a deal Coffee in a nice place

We came to a beautiful place
the name even difficult for us
Ramundeboda Convent

The area was mentioned early in our history
around 1100. This was a place for the Kings to rest
during the travel trought the country.

These are findings from a open convent placed here.
The ordern was Antonites. The Munks here where more free
they took care of sick people and gave room for people
passing through. Also it was an important spot for pilgrims to rest
and meet. In the period 1400-1500.
This convent was closed down by our King Gustav Wasa.

To protect the old church wall the have built a roof of wood
painted with tar

All this just by putting my finger on the map.
There are treasures everywhere.
Please enjoy

The area

Our visit is over.. my father..

We had a nice coffee and we made a new deal ..
To do this again..soon..

That stonework is very interesting, Eva ... I could spend days looking at it, learning how it was put up.
"Ramundeboda"? a piece of cake to say! wink I wonder if I was once a Viking? bigsmile

These stonewalls are interesting a technique was very common here. The basement roof where they used only the weight of the stone and the pressure from the construction to hold it together.
Ramundeboda .. it is a nice name

I think you must have been a Viking bigsmile bigsmile
