We, a friend of mine and myself, wanted to leave Paris. Where ? Actually we didn't care, somewhere.
After some hours browsing the low-cost companies website, we choosed Stockholm. Herm, we first ignored where it was, I mean, we both didn't remember which town was the capital of which country, Oslo...Helsinki...Stockholm...
So, Stockholm is in Sweden ? Okay, Sweden is good for us. The tickets were bought in the same night. We'd leave thursday and come back sunday. I still had some freelance mission to complete to earn money before leaving, time was short.
I called different youth hostels, but as I was calling very late, it was kind of difficult to find free rooms. I finally suceeded booking rooms in two different hostels for the three nights, both were boats.
Time to go. The plane took off from the Beauvais Airport, 1 hour from Paris in bus, it costed 13 euros to getfrom Paris to there. 1pm, we were in Beauvais. 2pm, check-in. 4pm, take off. 6pm, we landed in Skavsta, like Beauvais it's 1 hour from Stockholm in bus, kind of the same price. After that much transport in one day, we walked a little in town and went back to have some rest for the first night in the first hostel : Rygerfjord hostel. The room was tiny, but the breakfast was a marvel
Tourist mode activated. We walked in the south of Stockholm (Södermalm). We were lucky the weather was sunny this day. We moved from one boat to another, The Red Boat, here our new roomates made us a joke, they left something looking like a corpse in their beds. I must admit I was a little bit freaking out.
The evening we ate in a restaurant called "Mat Kultur", a little expensive for us but very good.
The night we were in a pub in Götgatan street, "Greenpeace", we met a group of local students, we talked and laughed until 1am, then we followed them in a rock club in the center of the town, where you could see people dressed like in Grease, funny.
We walked towards the east this day. There were a girls band playing adapted songs by Elvis with trumpets, very cool. We visited the Musikmuseet, it's an awesome museum, you have to do it if you go to Stockholm. Then we visited the Modern Art Museum. The evening we ate in a restaurant called Homelehuf, the same, a little expensive but how good !
Sunday
The weather was cloudy. We visited another island of Stockholm where there was a park called Skansen. As it was cloudy, there were not a lot of people first, we decided to take pictures where noone was there.
