(Quran104:1)all thes are the laws of moral conduct givn in the Quran nd the Sahih Hadith,they promot universl brotherhod,the uniquness abt Islam is that,it practicaly dmonstrates the universl brotherhood.The Muslims are suposed to dmonstrate the universl brotherhod 5 times a day in their Salah.When we offer Salah,it is mentiond in Sahih Bukhari vol 1,in the bok of Adhan,ch.75 H.692 that,"Hazrat Anas(ra)said that when we stood for Salah,the shoulder of the companion touched with the shoulder of the companion,our feet touched with the feet of a companion."The Prophet(SAW)said,it is mentiond in Sunnan Abu Dawood Vol.1 in the book of Salah Ch.245 H.666,"Before starting the Salah,straighten ur rows,stand shoulder to shoulder,nd do not leave any gap or opening for the devil."in this Hadith the Prophet(SAW)was not refering to the devil which u see in the Onida Tv Ad,with two horns.The Prophet(SAW)was referring to devil of racism,caste,colour, wealth.Irespectiv whether rich or poor,king or pauper,when u stand for Salah,stand shoulder to shoulder,so that brotherhod increases.But in other religions we do not find such thing,for e.g,In their religious places when some VIP or celebraty visits their religious place,the common people are not allowed to worship during their visit and these VIP'S are provided special passes.But in Islam Alhamdullilah u will not find such thing.

The status of women in Islam is often the target of attacks in the secular media.The 'hijaab' or the Islamic dress is cited by man as an example of the subjugation of woman under Islamic law.But this is not true.Islam uplifted the status of women and granted them their just rights 1400 years ago.Islam expects women to maintain their status.People usually only discuss 'hijaab' in the context of women.However,in the Quran,Allah(SWT)first mentions hijaab for men before hijaab for the women.The Quran mentions in Surah Noor,"Say to the believing men that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty;that will make for greater purity for them;and Allah is well acquainted with all they do,"(Quran24:30).The moment a man looks at a woman and if any brazen or unashamed thought comes to his mind,he should lower his gaze.The next Verse of Surah Noor,says,"And say to the believing women that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty;that they should not display their beauty and ornaments except what(must ordinarily)appear thereof,that they should draw veils over their bosoms and not display their beauty,"(Quran 24:31). If we see in our daily life,when we talk to a person whom we hate,when we talk to him we look straight into his eyes,but when we talk to the person to whom we respect,we lower our gaze,so when we lower our gaze it means that we have respect for someone,and the person gets good impression of us.But the main reason why hijaab is prescribed for women is mentioned in the Quran in the following verse of Surah Al-Ahzab,"O Prophet(SAW)!Tell thy wives and daughters,and the believing women that they should cast their outer garments over their persons(when abroad),that is most convenient,that they should be known(as such)and not molested.And Allah is Oft-Forgiving,Most Merciful."(Quran 33:59).The Quran say that hijaab has been prescribed for the women so that they are recognized as modest women and this will also prevent them from being molested.Suppose two sisters who are twins,and who are equally beautiful,walk down the street.One of them is wearing the Islamic hijaab i.e the complete body covered,except for the face and the hands upto the wrists.The other sister is wearing western clothes,a mini skirt or shorts.Just around the corner there is a hooligan or ruffian who is waiting for a catch,to tease a girl.Whom will he tease?The girl wearing Islamic hijaab or the girl wearing the skirt or the mini?Naturally he will tease the girl wearing the skirt or the mini.Such dresses are an indirect invitation to the opposite sex for teasing and molestation.The Quran rightly says that hijaab prevents women from being molested.Be the woman from any part of the world whether she is from India,Pakistan,UK, France,USA or Saudi Arabia.If she is wearing clothes like mini-skirt or shorts.She can get molested,it is not that only western women will get molested.Acording to Islamic Shariah a man convicted of having raped a woman,is given capital punishment(death sentence).Many are astonished at this sentence.Some even will say that Islam is a ruthless,barbaric religion! I ask a simple question to you.Suppose,God forbid,some one rapes your wife or mother or sister or daughter,and you are made the judge and the rapist is brought in front of you,what punishment would you give him?Naturally your answer would be put that person to death.Some will say that I will torture him to death.So if some one rapes your wife,mother,sister or daughter you want to put him to death.But if the same crime is comitted on somebody else's wife or daughter or mother or sister,you say capital punishment is barbaric,why should there be double standerds? United States of America is supposed to be one of the most advanced countries of the world.But do you know that it also has one of the highest rates of rape in any country in the world.Acording to a FBI report in the year 1990,everyday on an average 1756 cases of rape were comitted in U.S.A alone.Later another report said that on an average everyady 1900 cases of rapes are comitted in U.S.A.The year was not mentioned.May be it was 1992 or 1993.Consider a scenario where the Islamic hijaab is followed in America.Whenever a man looks at a woman and any brazen or unashamed thought comes to his mind,he lowers his gaze.Every women wears the Islamic hijaab.After this if any man commits rape he is given capital punishment.I ask you,in such a scenario,will the rate of rape in America increase,will it remain the same,or will it decrease?But natural it will decrease.So the hijaab does not degrade a woman but uplifts and protects her modesty and chastity.

Acording to the Islamic law,men and women are equal.The Islamic law protects the life and property of a man and woman both.If a man murders a woman he too will recieve the capital punishment of 'Kisaas'.Acording to Islamic law of 'Kisaas' men and women-irrespective the injury be of the eye,of the nose,of the ear,of the body-both receive equal punishment.And if the guardian of the person who is murdered,even it be a woman-if she says,that forgive the murderer and she accepts 'Dia' that is compensation-her openion cannot be rejected-they have to accept it.And if there is difference of openion between the relatives of the person who is murdered,and some say that the murderer should be killed and some say that he should be forgiven an 'Dia' should be accepted,people should prevent the relatives from killing that murderer,and irrespective whether the witness or the opinion is given by a man or woman,it has some weight.Acording to Surah Maida Ch.5 V.30,it says,"As to the thief,whether he be man or a woman,cut off his or her hand as a punishment for his crime,an example from God." means if a person robs irrespective whether he or she is a man or a woman his or her hands should be chopped-the punishment is the same.Acording to Surah Nur,Ch.24 V.2 it says,"if any commits fornication,be it a man or a woman,flog them with 100 stripes,"the punishmemt for fornication in Islam irrespective whether it is a man or a woman,it is the same,flogging with 100 stripes.The punishment for men and women,is the same in Islam.In Islam a woman is allowed to give witness,imagine,Islam gave right to a woman to be a witness,1400 years ago.Even now in as late as 1980,the Jewish Rabai,they were considering that whether the women should be given a right to act as a witness or not-and Islam Alhamdullillah gave that right 1400 years ago.Acording to Surah Nur Ch.24 V.4,it says,"If any of you put a charge against the chastity of a woman,produce 4 witnesses,and if they falter,flog them with 80 stripes."In Islam for a small crime,you require 2 witness,for a big crime you require 4 witness.Accusing a woman falsely is a big crime in Islam,therefore you require 4 witnesses.Now a days you see in the modern society,you find men abusing women and calling them all sorts of name.They call them prostitutes etc,and nothing is done.In an Islamic state if a man calls her a 'prostitute' in public or anywhere else,and if she takes that man to court,and if that man cannot produce 4 witnesses or even if he produces 4 witnesses and any one of them falter,all of them will receive 80 lashes each,and in future all their evidences will be rejected.Islam gives utmost importance to the chastity of the woman.When a lady marries,she normally adopts the name of her husband.In Islam she has the option of either keeping her husband's name,either adopting the name of the husband or maintaining the maiden name is recommanded in Islam-And we find in several Muslim societies that women,even after they get married they maintain their maiden name,because acording to the Islamic law men and women are equal will u call such rights in Islam modernizing or outdated?

All the previous civlizations,they have considerd the women to b an instrument of the devil.The Quran refers to the women as 'Mohsana' that is a 'fortress against the devil'.And if a woman,who is good,marries a man,she prevents him frm going on the wrong path.There is a Hadith in which Prophet Muhammad(SAW) said,"There is no monasticism in Islam.And again acording to Sahih Bukhari,Volume No.7 Ch.3 Hadith No.4 it says,"The Prophet Muhammad(SAW) ordained the young men,all those who have means to marry should marry,for it will help them to guard their gaze and guard their modesty."The Quran says that,"We have put love into the hearts of the husband and wife."Acording to Surah Nisa Ch.4 V.19 it says,"You are prohibited to inherht women against their will." means to marry the permision of both the parties is required.It is compulsory that the man and woman both should agree to marry.No one not even the father can force their daughter to marry against her wishes.There is a Hadith in Sahih Bukhari,Volume 7,Book 62,No.69,which says,"That a lady she was forced by her father to marry against her wishes-And she went to the Prophet Muhammad(SAW)and the Prophet invalidated the marriage.That means,the consent of both the male and the female is required.In Islam a women is considerd as a homemaker,she is not considerd as a housewife,becoz she is not married to the house.There is a Hadith from Ibn-Hambal,Hadith No.736,7396,it says,"The most perfect of the belivers are those that are best in character and behaviour and those that are best to their family and their wives."Islam gives equal rights to the men and women.Quran clearly mentions that men and women,husband and wife have equal rights in all aspects,except leadership in the family.It is mentioned in the Quran in Surah Baqarah Ch.2 V.228,it says that,"the women have been given rights similar against them(men)on equality terms but the men have a degree higher." Most of the people have misunderstood the verse,when it says a man have a degree higher.It is mentioned in Surah Nisa,Ch.4 V.34 which says,"The men are the protectors and maintainers of the women,for God has given one of them more strength than the other and they give them their means."people say the word 'Kawwam' means,one degree higher in superiority.But actually the word 'Kawwam' comes from the root word 'Ikamah' which means for example when one give the 'Ikamah' before prayers,you stand up so 'Ikamah' means to stand up,so the word 'Kawwam' means one degree higher in responsibility,not one degree higher in superiority.Even if you read the commentry of 'Ibn-Kathir(Ibn-Kaser).He says that the word 'Kawwam' means one degree higher in responsibility,not one degree higher in superiority and this responsibility should b carried out by mutual consent of both hushand and wife.It is mentioned in Surah Baqarah Ch.2 V.187,which says,"your wives are your garments,and you are their garments."What is the objective of garments,it is used to conceal and to beautify.The husband and wife should conceal each others faults and they should beautify each other,it is a relationship of hands and gloves.The Quran mentions that,"even if you do not like your wife,you should treat her kindly.It is mentioned in Surah Nisa Ch.4 V.19 it says,"Consort with them(your wives)in kindness,for if you hate them it may happen that you hate a thing where in God has placed much good."Even if you dislike your wife you have to treat her kindly and with equality.Just because the rights of a wife are equal to those of the husband in Islam,will you call such rights in Islam as modernizing or outdated?;>SOCIAL RIGHTS TO A MOTHER;>It is mentioned in Ch.17 V.28-29,it says,"God has ordained you,that you worship none but Him(God),and be kind to your parents,and if any one or both of them reach old age do not say a word of contempt or repel them but address them with honour,and speak to them with kindness,and lower your wing of humility and pray to God-My Lord!bless them as they have cherished me in childhood."Surah Anam Ch.6 V.151 says,"You have to b kind to your parents."Surah Luqman Ch.31 V.14 says,"We have enjoined on the human beings to b kind to his parents.In travail upon travail,did their mother bore them and in years twain was their weaning."A Hadith in Sahih Bukhari Volume 8 Ch.2 No.2 as well as in Sahih Muslim,it says a man asked the Prophet Muhammad(SAW)who requires the maximum love and respect and my comanionship in this world?the Prophet(SAW)replied your mother,the man said who is next Prophet(SAW)again replied your mother,the man asked for the 3rd time who next,the Prophet(SAW)replied your mother,the man asked for the 4th time who next,then Prophet(SAW)replied your father.So 75% of the love and respect goes to the mother and 25% goes to father.;>SOCIAL RIGHTS TO A SISTER;>Acording to Surah Tawbah Ch.9 V.71 it says that,"The men and the women they are friends of each other.Prophet Muhammad(SAW)said,"The women are the 'Shakat'-Shakat means sister.

Islam gave economical rights to the women 1400 years ago.An adult Muslim women can own,she can dispose or disown any of her property without consulting any one,irrespective whether she is married or she is single.In 1870,it was the first time in England that the west recognized the rights of the married woman,where she was allowed to own or dispose any of her property without consultation. Alhamdulillah Islam gave these rights 1300 years before England.Here i would like to say that I have no personal greviences with the west bt at the same time we should accept the truth.;>WOMEN ON JOB;>A woman in Islam,if she wishes to work she can work.There is no text in the Quran or the authentic Hadith which prevents or makes it prohibited for a woman to do any work,as long as it is not unlawful,as long as it is within the preview of the Islamic Shariah,as long as she maintains her Islamic dress code.But natural,she cannot take up jobs which exhibit her beauty and body-like modeling and film acting and such kind of jobs.Many of the professions and jobs which are prohibited for the women are also prohibited for the man,like serving alcohol,working in gambling dens,doing any unethical or dishonest business.A true Islamic society requires women to take up profession such as doctors.We do requrie female Gynecologists,we do require female nurses,we do require female teachers.But there should be saperate hospitals,schools where the whole adminstration should be in the hands of women.But,a woman in Islam has got no financial obligations-The financial obligation is laid on the shoulders of the man in the family.Therefore she need not work for her livelihood.But in genuine cases,where there are financial crises in which both the ends do not meet,she has the option of working.Here too,no one can force her to work.She works out of her own absolute free will.;>FINANCIAL SECURITY FOR WOMEN;>A women in Islam has been given more financial security as compared to the man.The financial obligation is not put on her shoulder-it is put on the shoulder of the man in the family.It is the duty of the father or the brother before she is married and the duty of the husband or the son after she is married to look after her lodging,boarding, clothing and financial aspects of her.;>COMPULSORY MARITAL GIFT FOR A WOMAN;>When a woman gets married she is on the reciving end.She recieves a gift-she recieves a dower or a maritial gift,which is called as 'Meher'.It is mentioned in the Quran in Surah Nisa, Ch.4 V.4 which says,"Give to the woman in dower,a marital gift".For a marriage to solemnize in Islam,'Meher' is compulsory.In Islam there is no lower limit,nor is there an upper limit for 'Meher'.There are various cultures which have crept into the Muslim societies,especially in the Indo-Pak area.They give a small amount of 'Meher' and they expect the wife to give a fridge,TV set.They expect the wife to give an apartment,car etc and a large number of sum of dowery,depending upon the status of the husband.This is largely due to the influence of Hindu culture.Demanding dowry from the wife,directly or indirectly is prohibited in Islam.If the parents of the girl give the girl something out of their own will,it is accepted.But demanding or forcing directly or indirectly,it is prohibited in Islam.;>NO FINANCIAL LIABILITIES;>If a woman works,which she does not have to-whatever earning she gets,it is absolutely her property.She need not spend on the household,if she wants to spend it is her free will.Irrespective how rich the wife is,it is the duty of the husband to give lodging,boarding, clothing and look after the financial aspects of the wife.In case of divorce or if a wife gets widowed,she is given financial support for the period of 'Iddah' and if she has children,she is also given child support.;>RIGHT TO INHERIT;>Islam gave the right to the women to inherit more than 1400 years ago.If you read the Quran in several verses,in Surah Nisa,in Surah Baqarah and Surah Maidah,it is mentioned that a woman,irrespective she is a wife or she is a mother or a sister or a daughter,she has a right to inherit.And it has been fixed by God Almighty in the Quran.

If we agree with the 'women's rights in Islam' as portrayed by the western media,you have no option,but to agree that the 'women's rights in Islam' are outdated.The western media talk of womens liberation,is actually a disguised form of exploitation of her body,deprivatilon of her honour and degradation of her soul.In western society which speaks of upgrading the status of woman in Islam,have actually reduced her status and are mere tools in the hands of sex marketers and pleasure seekers,which are disguised behind the colourful screen of art and culture,in the name of fashion and beauty contests,they make women a mere tool.These words of mine may hurt someone which I really don't want to,but if we have the heart that feels,we have to accept this truth.:->WOMEN'S RIGHTS IN ISLAM:-> Now before we come to the topic we must keep in mind that when ever you judge any religion you should judge according to the religious scriptires(books) of that religion,donot judge according to what the people do,because most of the times people donot follow their religious scriptires.If you want to judge Islam you should judge it according to the authentic sources i.e,The Holy Quran and Hadith(the sayings of Prophet Mohammad(SAW).We know that there are many people in this world who present the bad image of Islam to the people especially in the west,so that is why there are many misconceptions about Islam among the non-Muslim brothers and sisters.Alhamdulillah Islam gave women their due rights in the days of Ignorance 1400 years ago.Islam's objective was and continues to be,to modernise our thinking,our living,our seeing,our hearing,our feeling and striving for the women's upliftment and emancipation in the society.Islam believes in equality of men and women.'Equality' does not mean 'identically'.In Islam,the role of a man and woman is complimentary,it is not conflicting.It is that of a partnership,it is not contradictory,so as to strive for supremacy.Where as women's rights in Islam is concerned,we can divide it into 6 broad categories. (1)Spiritual rights of women In Islam. (2)Economical rights of women in Islam. (3)Social rights of women in Islam.(4)Educational rights of women in Islam.(5)Legal rights of women in Islam. (6)Political rights of women in Islam. :->SEX IS NOT THE CRITERIA TO ENTER PARADISE:->The greatest misconception that many people have about Islam,is that they think Paradise in Islam,is only meant for the male,it is not meant for female.This misconception can be removed by quoting from this verse of Quran which says,"If any of you do deeds of righteousness, whether it be male or female and has faith,they shall surely enter Paradise and not the least injustice shall be done to them."(Quran 4:124).A similar thing is repeated in this verse which says,"If any of you perform good deeds,be it a man or a woman and is a believer,we shall give you good life and we should reward you for all your good work."(Quran 16:97).Just because in Islam,sex is not the criteria to enter paradise,will you call such rights in Islam as modernising or outdated?

Consider the following verse of Quran:"In this world We made a curse to follow them:and on the Day of Jugment they will be among the loathed(and despised)."(Quran 28:36-42).This is the closest picture taken of Pharaoh Ramesses II,Here's the story of France with Pharaoh Ramesses.When Francisco Mitra became the President of France in 1981.France requested from the Egyptian government to host the mummy of Pharaoh for the purpose of running laboratory and archeological examinations on the mummy of the most notorious dictator ever lived on the earth.Upon arrival a very royal attendants were there including the French President himself and all ministers who bowed in honor for the mummy.When ceremony ended,the mummy was carried to a specially designed section at the Archeology Centre of France where it started to be tested by the greatest French archeological and anatomical scientists in order to discover more about such a great mummy.The scientists were headed by Professor Maurice Bucaille.Scientists were trying to restore the mummy while Professor Murice was mainly concerned with how did this mummy die!The final report of the scientists was released late at night which states that the reamining salt in the mummy is an overt evidence that it was drawn in the sea,and the body was rescued very shortly where it was immediately embalmed to be saved.An amazing thing was still confusing Professor Maurice is that how could this body possibly be safer than any other mummy despite being taken out of the sea up until this time.Professor Maurice was writing his final report on what he thought would be a new discovery about saving Pharaoh's body immediately after his death and embelming it and there,someone whispered to him that Muslims claim to know something about the drowning of this mummy.Yet the Professor firmly denied such thing saying that it's impossible to discover this without the development of science and without using high tech. and complicated laboratories and computers.To his surprise,he was told that Muslims believe in a book called 'Quran' and this Quran narrates the story of Pharaoh's drowning and ensures the safety of his body after his death as to be a sign to mankind.The Professor couldn't believe his own ears and started to wonder!How can a book existed 1400 years ago speak about the mummy that was only found 100 or more years ago?How can that be possible while the ancient Egyptian heritage was discovered only a few decades ago and no one knew about it before?The Professor sat down pondring on what he was told about the book of Muslims.While his Holy Book narrates only the drowning of Pharaoh without saying anything about his body,'is it possible that this mummy in front of me is the one who was chasing Moses?'is it possible that Muhammad(SAW) knew this 1400years ago?The Professor couldn't sleep that night till they brought him The Old Testament where he read,"The sea drowned Pharaoh and his army,no one else was left alive".He was surprised that the book didn't mention about the destiny of the body and that it will be saved.When the scientists were done with the mummy,France retuned it to Egypt,but Professor couldn't rest for a moment since he was told that Muslims know about the safety of the body.So,he decided to travel and meet anatomy Muslim scientist and there he spoke about his discovery of the safety of the mummy after its death in the sea and soon one of the Muslim scientist stood up and simply opened the Quran and pointed to the Professor at one verse which says,"This day shall We save you in your body,that you may be a sign to those who come after you!But verily,many among mankind are neglectful of our signs."(Quran 10:92).The Professor was struck when he read that and immediately stood in front of the crowd and said loudly:'I believe in Islam,I believe in Quran.Then he went back to France with a different face he traveled with.In France he dedicated 10 years investigating the scientific discoveries and comparing them with the Quran and trying to come up with one scientific contradiction with the Quran.Finally he quoted one vers frm Quran to be his conclusion,"No falsehood can approach it(this book)from before or behind it:it is sent down by One full of Wisdom,Worthy of all Praise."(Quran 41:42).As a result of all years of his research,Professor Maurice wrote a book(Quran,Torah, Bible and science)that shook all Europe,especially the scientists there.All copies were sold out at a very short time.In Cairo Museum where the mummy is preserved,one gets astonished at the scenery of thousands of people from all over the world visiting place everyday.Unfortunatly, many of the tourists there would think,'woow,look at that!Amazing!so nice to see people of all times!Without realizing the intended lesson that Allah has kept this body a sign to all mankind if anyone denies Allah and His messengers.

For a long tim Europen philosphrs nd scintsts blived that the earth stood stil in the centr of the univers nd evry other body includng the sun movd around it.In the West,this geocentric concpt of the univers was prevlent right frm the tim of Ptolemy in the 2nd century B.C.In 1512,Nicholas Copernicus put forwrd his Heliocentric Theory of Planetary Motion,wich asertd that the sun is motionles at the centr of the solar systm with the planets revolvng around it.In 1609,the German scientist Yohannus Keppler publishd the Astronomia Nova.In it he concluded that not only the planets mov in eliptcal orbits around the sun,they also rotat upon their axis at iregular speeds.With this knowledg it bcome possibl for Europen scintists 2 explain corectly many of the mechnisms of the solar systm includng the sequenc of night nd day.Considr the folowing Quranic vers:"It is He Who created the night nd the day,and the sun nd the moon:all(celestil bodies)swim along,each in its rounded cours."(Quran 21:33).The Arabic word yasbahun is derivd frm the word sabaha.It caries with it the idea of motion that coms frm any moving body.If u use the word for a man on the ground,it wuld not mean that he is roling bt wuld mean he is walking or runing.If u use the word for a man in watr it wuld not mean he is floting bt wuld mean that he is swiming.Smilarly,if u use the word yasbah for a celestil body such as the sun it wuld not mean that it is only flying through spac bt wuld mean that it is also rotatng as it goes through spac.Most of the school textboks hav incrporatd the fact that the sun rotats abt its axis.The rotatin of the sun abt its own axis can b provd with the help of an equipment that projects the imag of the sun on the tabl top so that one can examin the imag of the sun without being blinded.It is noticd that the sun has spots wich complet a circular motion onc every 25 days i.e,the sun taks aproximatly 25 days to rotat around its axis.Infact,the sun travels through spac at roughly 150 miles/sec.,nd taks abt 200 million yrs to complet one revolutin around the centr of our Milky Way Galaxy.Tak the folowing Quranic vers:"It is not permitted to the sun to catch up the moon nor can the night outstrip the day:Each(just)swims along in(its own)orbit(acordng to law)"(Quran 36:40).This vers mentions an essental fact discovrd by modrn astronomy i.e,the existenc of the indvidul orbits of the sun nd the moon,nd their journy through spac with their own motion.The fixd plac,towrds wich the sun travls,carying with it the solar system,has been locatd exactly by modrn astronomy.It has been givn a name,the Solar Apex.The solar systm is indeed moving in spac towrds a point situatd in the constelatin of Hercules(Apex Lyrae)whos exact loctin is firmly establishd.The moon rotats around its axis in the sam duratin that it taks to revolv around the earth.It takes aproximatly 29 1/2 days to complet one rotation.One cannot help bt b amazed at the scientfic acuracy of the Quranic verse.Shuld V not pondr over the sourc of knowledg contained in The Quran?*THE SUN WILL EXTINGUISH AFTER A CERTAIN PERIOD*The light of the sun is due to chemical proces on its surfac that has been taking plac continusly for the past 5 billion yrs.It wil com to an end at som point of tim in the futur when the sun wil b totaly extinguished leading to extinctin of all lif on earth.Regardng this the Quran says:"And the sun runs its course for a period detrmined for it:that is the decree of(Him)the exalted in Might,the all-knowing." (Quran36:38).The Arabic word mustaqarr,which mean a plac or time that is detrmined.Thus the Quran says that the sun runs towrds a detrmined plac nd wil do so only up to a predetrmined period of tim.*THE PRESENCE OF INTERSTELLAR MATTER*Spac outside organized astronomicl systm was earlier asumed to b a vacum.Astrophysicsts later discovrd the presenc of bridges of mater in this interstelar spac.These bridges of mater r called plasma,nd consist of completly ionized gas containing equal number of free electrons nd positiv ions.Plasma is somtims called the 4th state of matter.The Quran mentions the presenc of interstelar materil in this vers:"He Who created the heavens nd the earth nd all that is between." (Quran25:59).*THE EXPANDING UNIVERSE*In 1925,an Americn astronmer Edwin Hubble provided observatinal evidenc that al galaxies r recedng frm one anothr,wich implis that univers is expandng.The expansion of the univers is now an establishd scientfic fact.This is what Quran says:"With the power and skill did We construct the firmament:for it is We Who create the vastness of space."(Quran51:47). The Arabic word musiun is corectly translatd as expandng it,nd it refer to the creatin of the expandng vastnes of the univers.Stephen Hawking,in his bok, A Brief History of Time,says,the discovry that the univers is expandng was one of the great intelectul revolutin of 20th century.The Quran mentions the expensin of the univers,b4 man even learnt to build a telescope.

In ancient times a well-known theory by the name of 'Theory of Atomism' was widely accepted.This theory was originally proposed by the Greeks,in particular by a man called Democritus,who lived about 23 centuries ago.Democritus and the people that came after him assumed that the smallest unit of matter was the atom.The Arabs used to believe the same.The Arabic word 'dharrah' most commonly meant an atom.In recent times moderm science has discovered that it is possible to split even an atom.That the atom can be split further is a development of the 20th century.1400 years ago this concept would have appeared unusual even to an Arab.For him 'dharrah' was the limit beyond which one could not go.The following Quranic verse however,refuses to acknowledge this limit thought by early peopl:"The unbelivers say, 'never to us will come the hour: say,'nay!But most surely,by my Lord,it will come upon you,by Him Who knows the unseen,from Whom is not hidden the least little atom in the Heavens or on Earth:nor is there anything less than that,or greater,but is in the record perspicuous."(Quran 34:3) and also in Chapter. No.10 V.61.This verse refers to the Omniscience of God,His knowledge of all things,hidden or apparant.It then goes further and says that God is aware of everything,including what is smaller or bigger than the atom.Thus the verse clearly shows that it is possible for something smaller than the atom to exist,a fact discovered only recently by modern science.

In geology,the phenomenon of 'folding' is a recently discovered fact.Folding is responsible for the formation of mountain ranges.The earth's crust,on which we live,is like a solid shell,while the deeper layers are hot and fluid,and thus inhospitable to any form of life.It is also known that the stability of the mountains is linked to the phenomenon of folding,for it was the folds that were to provide foundations for the relief's that constitute the mountains.Geologists tell us that the radius of the Earth is about 3750 miles and crust on which we live is very thin,ranging between 1-30 miles.Since the crust is thin,it has a high possibility of shaking.Mountains act like stakes or tent pegs that hold the earth's crust and give it stability.The Quran contains exactly such a description in the following verse:"Have We not made the earth as a wide expanse,and the mountains as pegs?"(Quran 78:6-7). The word 'AWTAD' means stakes or pegs(like those used to anchor a tent);they are the deep foundations of geological folds.A book named 'Earth' is considered as a basic reference textbook on geology in many universities around the world.One of the authors of this book is Frank Press,who was the President of the Academy of Sciences in the USA for 12 years and was the Science Advisor to former U.S President Jimmy Carter.In this book he illustrates the mountain in a wedge-shape and the mountain itself as a small part of the whole,whose root is deeply entrenched in the ground(see Earth by press and Siever,also see Earth Science by Tarbuck and Lutgens).According to Dr.Press,the mountains play an important role in stabilizing the crust of the earth.The Quran clearly mentions the function of the mountains in preventing the earth from shaking in the verse:"And We have set on the Earth Mountains standing firm,lest it should shake with them."(Quran 21:31).The Quranic descriptions are in perfect agreement with modern geological data.*MOUNTAINS FIRMLY FIXED*The surface of the earth is broken into many rigid plates that are about 100 km in thickness.These plates float on a partially molten region called aesthenosphere. Mountain formations occur at the boundry of the plates.The earth's crust is 5 km thick below oceans,about 35 km thick below flat continental surfaces and almost 80 km thick below great mountain ranges.These are the strong foundations on which mountains stand.The Quran also speaks about the strong mountain foundations in the following verse:"And the mountains hath He firmly fixed."(Quran 79:32).A similar message is contained in Quran in several places.

Take the foloing Quranic verses:"He has let free the 2 bodis of flowing watr,meting togethr: betwen them is a barier which they do not transgres."(Quran55: 19-20).The Arabic word barzakh means a barier or a partitin.This barier is not a physicl partitin.The Arabic word Maraja litraly means they both meet nd mix with eachother.Early comentators of the Quran wer unabl to explan the 2 oposit menings for the 2 bodis of watr i.e,they meet nd mix,nd at the sam tim,ther is a barier betwen them.Modrn Scienc has discovrd that in the places wher 2 diferent seas meet,ther is a barier betwen them.This barier divids the 2 seas so that each sea has its own tempratur,salinity nd density(see Principls of Oceangraphy by Davis).Oceanlogists r now in a beter positin to xplain this vers.Ther is a slanted unsen watr barier betwen the 2 seas through wich watr frm 1 sea pases to other.Bt when the watr frm 1 sea entrs the other,it loses its distinctive chracterstic nd bcoms homognized with other watr.In a way this barier servs as a transtional homognizing area for the 2 wates.This scintfic phnomenon mentiond in the Quran was also confirmd by Dr.Wilim Hay who is a wel known marin scintist nd Profesor of Geological Sciencs at the Univrsity of Colorado,U.S.A.The Quran mentions this phnomenon also in the vers:"And made a separating bar betwen the 2 bodies of flowing watr."(Quran27:61). This phnomenon ocurs in sevral placs,including the divider betwen the Medteranan nd the Atlantic Ocean at Gibraltar.Bt when the Quran speaks abt the divider betwen fresh nd salt watr,it mentions the existenc of "a forbiding partitin" with the barier.Take this vers,"It is He Who has let free the two bodies of flowing wate,one palatabl nd sweet,nd other salty nd bitter,yet has He mad a barrier betwen them,and a partitin that is forbiden to be passed."(Quran 25:53).Modrn scienc has discovrd that in estuaries,wher fresh(sweet)nd salt watr meet,the situatin is somwhat diferent frm that found in placs wher 2 seas meet.It has been discovrd that what distingushes fresh watr frm salt watr in estuaries is a 'pycnocline zone with a markd density discontnuty seprating the 2 layrs'(see Oceangraphy by Gross nd Introdutry Oceangraphy by Thurman)This partitin has a salnity diferent frm both the fresh watr nd the salt watr.This phnomenon ocurs in sevral placs including Egypt wher the river Nile flows into the Medterranen sea.*DARKNESS IN THE DEPTHS OF THE OCEAN* Prof.Durga Rao is an expert in the field of Marine Geology nd was a profesor at King Abdual Aziz University in Jeddah.He was askd to coment on the vers:"Or(the unblievers state)is like the depths of darkness in a vast deep ocean,overwhelmd with billow topped by billow.Topped by(dark)clouds,depths of darkness,one above another,if a man streatches out his hand,he can hardly see it!For any to whom Allah giveth not light,ther is no light"(Quran 24:40).Prof.Rao said that scintists hav only now been abl to confirm,with the help of modrn eqipment that ther is darknes in the depths of the ocean.Humans r unabl to dive unaided undrwatr for more than 20-30 mtrs,nd cannot surviv in the deep oceanic regions at a depth of more than 200 mtrs.This vers doesn't refer to al seas becoz not every sea can b describd as having acumulatd darknes layrd one over other.It refers especialy to a deep sea or ocean,as the Quran says,"darknes in a vast deep ocean".This layrd darknes in a deep ocean is the result of 2 causes:(1)A light ray is composd of 7 colours.Thes 7 colours r Violet,Indigo,Blue, Green,Yellow,Orange nd Red(VIBGYOR).The light ray undrgoes refractin when it hits watr.The upper 10-15 mtrs of watr absorb the red colour.There4 if a diver is 25 mtrs undrwatr nd gets wounded,he would not b abl to see the red colour of his blood,becoz the red colour doesn't reach this depth.Smilarly orang rays r absorbd at 30-50 mtrs,yelow at 50-100 mtrs,green at 100-200 mtrs nd finaly,blue beyond 200 mtrs nd violet nd indigo abov 200 mtrs.Due to sucesiv disaparanc of colour, one layr aftr another,the ocean progresvly bcoms darkr,i.e,darknes takes plac in layers of light.Below a depth of 1000 mtrs ther is complet darknes(see Oceans by Elder nd Pernetta)(2)The sun's rays r absorbd by clouds which in turn scattr light rays thus causing a layer of darknes undr clouds.This is the first layer of darknes.When light rays reach the surfac of the ocean they r reflectd by the wave surfac giving it a shiny aparanc.There4 it is the waves which reflect light nd caus darknes.The unrflectd light pentrats into the depths of the ocean.There4 the ocean has 2 parts.The surfac charatrized by light nd warmth nd the depth charatrized by darknes.The surfac is further sepratd frm the deep part of the ocean by wavs.The internal wavs covr the deep watrs of seas nd oceans bcoz the deep watrs hav a higher density than the watrs abov them.The darknes begins below the internal waves.Even the fish in depths of ocean cannot see;their only sourc of light is frm their bodies.

Previously humans did not know that plants too hav male and female gender distinctions.Botany states that every plant has a male and female gender.Even the plants that are unisexual hav distinct elements of both male and female.Considr the following verse from Quran."And Has sent down water from the sky.'With it have We produced diverse pairs of plants each separate from the others."(Quran 20:53)*FRUITS CREATED IN PAIRS,MALE AND FEMALE*Considr the following verse from Quran."And fruit of every kind He made in pairs,two and two."(Quran 13:3) Fruit is the end product of reproduction of the superior plants.The stage preceding fruit is the flower,which has male and female organs(stamens and ovules).Once pollen has been carried to the flower,they bear fruit,which in turn matures and frees its seed.All fruits therefore imply the existence of male and female organs;a fact that is mentioned in the Quran.In certain species,fruit can come from non-fertilized flowers (parthenocarpic fruit) e.g,bananas,certain types of pineapple,fig,orange, vine etc.They also have definite sexual characteristics. *EVERYTHING MADE IN PAIRS*Considr the following verse."And of everything We have created pairs."(Quran 51:49).This refers to things other than humans,animals, plants and fruits.It may also be referring to a phenomenon like electricity in which the atoms consist of negatively and positively charged electrons and protons. "Glory to Allah,Who created in pairs all things that the earth produces,as well as their own(human)kind and(other)things of which they have no knowledge."(Quran 36:36).The Quran here says that everything is created in pairs,including things that the humans do not know at present and may discover later.*SIGN FOR ATHEISTS AND UNBELIVERS*Considr the following verses."And Allah sends down rain from the skies and gives therewith life to the earth after its death;Verily in this is a sign for those who listen."(Quran 16:65). "Have they not seen the earth,how much of every fruitful kind We make to grow therein;Verily in this is a sign:but most of them donot believe."(Quran 27:7-8).In the above verses there is a sign for those who don't believe in Allah and Quran nd to whom we call atheist nd unbelivers.For such people who say that this universe has not been created by Allah,there is a simple and clear sign of Allah which can be understood without any experiment in laboratory or by sophesticated equipments.This merical of Quran can be understood even by a layman.In these verses Allah says that He(Allah)sends down rain and gives life to the earth after its death and in second place Allah says to those people that have they not seen the earth,Allah has made to grow every fruitful kind from earth,be it trees,plants,grass etc.So my question rather suggestion to those people who don't believe in Allah and Quran is that they shuld go out in their garden or meadows and pick a piece of grass and ask yourself that how this soft and delicate piece of grass which can be cut with a slight touch or pull has grown out of a hard surface of earth and sometimes even under from concrete surface and when we dig the same earth we dig it with an Iron rod or metal tools and to this we also have to apply physical force or power.But don't you see how this soft and delicate piece of grass or shootling has come out of the earth,from where it gets that power and force to break the hard surface of earth and come out.Do you mean to say that this grass grows of its own.Does it mean that there is no power behind this whole system.If you think so than you are in deep darkness.This does not happens on its own there is definitly the power of Allah that breaks the surface of earth and makes these tiny pieces to grow and from them we get different trees,plants,grass etc. Truly Quran is the mericals of mericles.I pray to God to show straight path to those brothers and sisters who are in such a deep darkness.May Allah show them the right path(Ameen)

(FOR SEQUENCE PLZ READ BLOG I & II FIRST) The 3rd meaning of the word 'alaqah' is a blood clot.During alaqah stage,which spans the 3rd nd 4th week of pregnancy,the blood clots within closed vessels.Henc the embryo acquires the apearanc of a blood clot in addition 2 acquiring the apearanc of a leech.In 1677,Hamm nd Leeuwenhoek wer the first scientists to observ human sperm cells(spermatozoa) using a microscop.They thought that a sperm cel contained a miniature human being which grew in the uterus to form a newborn.This was known as the perforation theory.When scientists discovered that the ovum was bigger than the sperm,it was thought by De Graf nd others that the foetus existed in a miniature form in the ovum.Later,in 18th century Mauperituis propagated the theory of biparental inheritanc.The alaqah is transformd into mudghah which means somthing that is chewed(having teeth marks)nd also somthing that is tacky nd smal which can b put in the mouth lik gum.Both these explanations r scientficaly correct.Dr Moore took a piece of plaster seal nd mad it into the size nd shap of the early stag of foetus nd chewed it betwen the teeth to mak it into a Mudgha.He compared this with the photographs of the early stag of foetus.The teeth marks resembl the somites which is the early formation of the spinal column.This mudghah is transformd into bones(izam).The bones are clothed with intact flesh or muscles(lahm).Then Allah maks it into another creature.Prof.Marshall Johnson is one of the leading scientists in USA,nd is the head of the Department of Anatomy nd Director of the Danial Institute at the Thomas Jeferson University in Phildelphia in USA.He was askd to comment on the verses of the Quran dealing with embryology.He said that the verses of the Quran describing the embryological stags cannot b a coincidence.He said it was probabl that Muhammad(SAW)had a powerful microscop.On being reminded that the Quran was revealed 1400 years ago,nd microscops were invented centuries aftr the time of Prophet Muhammad(SAW), Prof. Johnson laughed nd admitted that the first microscop inventd could not magnify more than 10 times nd could not show a clear picture.Later he said:"I see nothing here in conflict that Divine intervention was involved when Muhammad(SAW) recited the Quran".Acordng to Dr. Moore,the modern classification of embryonic development stages which is adoptd throughout the world,is not easily comprehensible,sinc it identifies stages on a numerical basis i.e, stag I, stag II, etc.The divisions revealed in the Quran r based on distinct nd easily identifiable forms or shapes,which the embryo passes through.These r based on different phases of prenatal development nd provid elegant scientific descriptions that are comprehensibl nd practical.Similar embryological stages of human development hav been described in the following verses."Was he not a drop of sperm emitted(in lowly form)?Then did he become a clinging clot;the did (Allah)make nd fashion(him)in due proportion."(Quran 75:37-39)."Him Who created thee,fashioned thee in due proportion,nd gave thee a just bias;In whatever form He wills,does He put thee together."(Quran 82:7-8)*EMBRYO PARTLY FORMED AND PARTLY UNFORMED*At the mugdhah stag,if an incision is made in the embryo nd the internal organ is dissected,it will b seen that most of them r formed while the others r not yet completly formed.Acordng to Prof. Johnson,if we describ the embryo as a complete creation,then V r only describing that part which is already created.If V describ it as an incomplet creation,then V are only describing that part which is not yet created.So,is it a complet creation or an incomplet creation?There is no better description of this stag of embryogenesis than the Quranic description,"partly formed nd partly unformed",as in the folowing vers:"We created you out of dust,then out of sperm,then out of a leech like clot,then out of a morsal of flesh,partly formed and partly unformed."(Quran 22:5)Scientficaly V know that at this early stag of devlopment there r some cells which r diferentiated nd there r some cells that r undiferentiated,some organs r formed nd yet others unformed.*SENSE OF HEARING AND SIGHT*The first sense to devlop in a devloping human embryo is hearing.The foetus can hear sounds aftr the 24th week.Subsequently, the sense of sight is devloped nd by the 28th week,the retina bcomes sensitiv to light.Considr the folowing Quranic verses relatd 2 the devlopment of the senses in the embryo: "And He gave you(faculties of)hearing and sight and feeling(nd understanding). "(Quran 32:9) "Verily We created man from a drop of mingled sperm,in order to try him:so We gave him(gifts)of hearing and sight."(Quran 76:2) "It is He Who has created for you(faculties of)hearing,sight, feeling and understanding:little thanks it is ye give!"(Quran 23:78)In al these verses the sense of hearing is mentiond b4 that of sight.Thus the Quranic description matches with the discovries in modern embryology.

The Glorious Quran mentions no les than 11 times that the human being is created frm 'nutfah', which means a minute quantity of liquid or a trickle of liquid wich remains aftr emptying a cup. This is mentioned in several verses of the Quran including 22:5, 23:13 so on.Science has confirmed in recent times that only one out of an average of 3 million sperms is required for fertilising the ovum.This means that only a 1/3 millionth part or 0.00003% of the quantity of sperms that are emitted is required for fertilisation.*HUMAN BEINGS CREATED FROM 'SULALAH'*"And made his progeny from a sulalah of the nature of a fluid despised." (Quran 32:8) The Arabic word 'sulalah' means quintessence or the best part of a whole.We hav come to know now that only one single spermatozoh,that penetrates the ovum is required for fertilization,out of the several millions produced by man.That one spermatozoh out of several millions is referred to in the Quran as sulalah.Sulalah also means gentle extraction frm a fluid. The fluid refers to both male nd female germinal fluids containing gametes. Both ovum nd sperm are gently extracted frm their environment in the process of fertilization.* MAN CREATED FROM NUTFATUN AMSHAAJ*Consider the following Quranic verse:"Verily We created man from a drop of mingled sperm." (Quran 76:2) The Arabic word 'nutfatin amshaajin means mingled liquids.Acordng to som commentators of the Quran,mingled liquids refer to the male or female agents or liquids.Aftr mixtur of male nd female gamete,the zygote still remains nutfah. Mingled liquids can also refer to spermatic fluid that is formd of various secretions that com frm various glands. There4 nutfatin amsaj, i.e, a minute quantity of mingled fluids refer to the male nd female gametes(germinal fluids or cells)nd part of the surrounding fluids.*SEX DETERMINATION*The sex of a foetus is determined by the nature of the sperm nd not the ovum.The sex of the child, whether male or female,depends on whether the 23rd pair of chromosomes is XX or XY respectively. Primarly sex determination occurs at fertilization nd depends upon the type of sex chromosome in the sperm that fertilizes an ovum.If it is an X bearing sperm that fertilizes the ovum,the foetus is a female nd if it is a Y bearing sperm then the foetus is a male.Consider the following vers frm Quran,"That He did create in pairs-male nd female,from a seed lodged(in its place)." (Quran 53:45-46).The Arabic words in these verses 'nutfah' means a minute quantity of liquid nd 'tumna' means ejaculated or planted.There4 nutfah specifically refers to sperm becoz it is ejaculated.The Quran says:"Was he not a drop of sperm emitted(in lowly form)?,Then did he become a clinging clot;then did(Allah) make nd fashion(him) in due proportion,And of him He(Allah) made two sexes,male nd female."(Quran 75:37-39) Here again it is mentiond that a small quantity(drop) of sperm(indicated by the word nutfatan min maniyyin) wich comes frm the man is responsible for the sex of the foetus. Mother-in-law in the Indian subcontinent by nd large prefer having male grandchildrn nd oftn blam their daughter-in-law if the child is not of the desired sex. If only they knew that the determining factor is the nature of the male sperm nd not the female ovum! If they were to blam anybody,they shuld blam their son nd not their daughter-in-law sinc both the Quran nd science hold that it is the male fluid that is responsible for the sex of the child! *FOETUS PROTECTED BY THREE VEILS OF DARKNESS*Quran says,"He makes you,in the wombs of your mothers,in stages,one aftr another,in three veils of darkness." (Quran 39:6).Acordng to Dr. Moore these 3 veils of darkness in the Quran refer to: (1)anterior abdominal wall of the mother. (2)the uterine wall (3)the amnio-chorinic membrane. *EMBRYONIC STAGE*The Quran says, "Man We did create frm a quintessence(of clay);then We placed him as(a drop of)sperm in a plac of rest,firmly fixed;then We made the sperm into a clot of congealed blood;then of that clot We made a(foetus)lamp;them We made out of that lump bones nd clothed the bones with flesh;then We developed out of it another creature.So blessed b Allah,the best to create!"(Quran 23:12-14)In this vers Allah states that man is creatd frm a small quantity of liquid which is placed in a plac of rest,firmly fixed(wel lodged)for which the Arabic word 'qararin makin' is used.The uterus is well protectd frm the posterior by the spinal column supportd firmly by the back muscles.The embryo is further protectd by the amniotic sac containing the amniotic fluid.Thus the foetus has a wel protectd dweling plac.This smal quantity of fluid is made into alaqah,meaning something which clings.It also means a leech like substanc.Both descriptns r ascientfically acceptabl as in the very early stages the foetus clings to the wal nd also appears to resembl the leech in shape.It also bhaves lik a leech(blood sucker)nd acquires its blood suply frm the mother through placentra.

Considr the following verse of Quran."Does man think that We cannot assemble his bones)Nay,We are able to put together in perfect order the very tips of his fingers". Unbelivers argue regardng resurrection taking plac aftr bones of dead people hav disintegrated in the earth nd how each individual would b identified on the Day of Judgement. Almighty Allah answers that He can not only assemble our bones bt can also reconstruct perfectly our very fingertips. Why does the Quran, while speaking abt determination of the identity of the individual,speak specially abt fingertips?In 1880, fingerprinting became the scientific method of identification,aftr research done by Sir Francis Golt.No two persons in the world can ever hav exactly the sam fingerprint pattern.That is the reason why police forces worldwide use fingerprints to identify the criminal. 1400 years ago,who could hav known the uniqueness of each human's fingerprint?Surely it could hav been none other than the Creator Himself? PAIN RECEPTORS PRESENT IN THE SKIN:It was thought that the sense of feeling nd pain was only dependent on the brain.Recent discoveries prove that there are pain receptors present in the skin without wich a person would not b able 2 feel pain.When a doctor examines a patient suffering frm burn injuries,he verifies the degree of burns by a pinprick.If the patient feels pain, the doctor is happy, becoz it indicats that the burns are superficial nd the pain receptors are intact. On the other hand if the patient does not feel any pain,it indicates that it is a deep burn nd the pain receptors hav been destroyed.The Quran gives an indication of the existence of pain receptors in the following verse:"Those who reject Our signs,We shall soon cast into the fire; as often as their skins are roasted through, We shall change them for fresh skins,that they may taste the penalty,for Allah is exalted in power,Wise."(Al Quran 4:56). Prof. Tagatat Tejasen, Chairman of the Department of Anatomy at Chiag Mai University in Thailand, has spent a great amount of time on research of pain receptors.Initially he could not believe that the Quran mentioned this scientific 1400 years ago.He later verified the translation of this particular Quranic verse.Prof. Tejasen was so impressed by the scientific accuracy of the Quranic Verse, that at the 8th Saudi Medical Conference held in Riyadh on the Scientific Signs of Quran nd Sunnah he proclaimed in public: La Ilaha Illallah Muhammadur Rasoolula,wich mean "There is no God but Allah and Muhammad(SAW) is His Messenger."
