The Kilians - Live in Berlin

, , , ...

Yesterday, The Kilians (Myspace) played live in Berlin Postbahnhof. Even though their album lasts only about 40 minutes they managed to offer a great 90 minute show with various new songs.
Supporting acts where "The Toulouse" and "Ghost of Tom Joad"
Check out my gallery for pictures of the concert.

The video must have gotten a little glitch while uploading... but I think you'll get the impression.

The Cinematics - Live in Berlin

, , , ...

The time has finally come for "The Cinematics" to have their own gig in Berlin after playing before Snow Patrol early 2007. Introducing "The Amber Light" as well as "The Alones" the concert took about three hours in total. Since we managed to get up front into the second row, the noise put quite some pressure on our ears... as well as on my camera that semingly didn't know how to handly the volume. I put some pictures up into my gallery. So make sure to check that out.

Thanks for readling.

Festival of Lights

,

Hey everyone,

I'm back from my trip to the US with a lot of really nice pictures. I still didn't manage to get throu all of them yet so you'll have to be a little more patient.

Between the 16.10.2007 and the 28.10.2007 there is the so called "Festival of Lights" in Berlin during which a lot of the famous buildings (as well as some commercial ones) are beeing illuminated in colorful lights. I went on a little tour throu my city to catch some of them on my camera. Check out my gallery for pictures of only a few of the buildings in this town.

Even thou it's not worth traveling to Berlin just for that it certainly makes a nice walk throu the city a little more diversivied. And as always. If you'd like one of the pictures in an higher resulution - let me know.

Damien Rice - Live in Berlin

, , ,

After two amazing concerts in february by Snow Patrol and Jet I wasn't sure that this could actually get any better. On March 15th, a friend and I went to the third concert this year expecting harmonic sounds from Damien Rice... but what we got to see put everything else in a huge dark shadow.

Damien Rice and his five musicians did music so great, that after everything was over, we still had to just stand there and think about what just happend. Crystal clear music, noises that made your heart beat faster and an athmosphere that rounded everything up made the perfect impression on us.

If you, by any chance get to see Damien Rice live sometime, you made a big step foreward on your ladder of experiences in life. This sounds kind of far fetched... but seriously.. it blew me away.

Beeing so overwhelmed, I almost forgot to mention the Magic Numbers. They too did a great jub heating up the crowd. Pictures of this spectacle as usual in my photo albums.

Jet - Live in Berlin

, , , ...

Damn... what would I do if I could scream like Nic, lead singer of Jet. My ears are still hearing there music underlined with a little beeping sound even though it's been 10 hours now.
Jet's performance was simply awesome! With two supporting acts, The Blue Van and a band from Berlin, Fuzzy Casino they were rocking the evening starting somewhat around 8 until 12 o'clock. This evening was all about Rock'n'Roll and damn they were rockin'! The crowd started stage-diving people were jumping and I couldn't see a single soul not screaming along. Thanks again to my friend for taking lot's and lot's of pictures.

We managed to get quite close to the Stage. Unfortunately the main speakers have been so loud that they f****d up the video I did for you guys. Still hope you enjoy.

PS.: It also was my brothers birthday yesterday... and I unfortunately had to skip the dinner we planned with our parents... hope you forgive me buddy!

A new year is coming... it's gonna be a good year!

, , , ...

Why am I so over confident you may ask... well first of all the biggest change in my life is that I finally got my own appartement and I'm moving out soon. The renovation work is done and there are only a few more things to do before I can move in.
Then as I mentioned before Jet is coming to Berlin on February 27th and I am very much looking forward to that. In addition, Damien Rice is due to March 15th and hold your breath, Snow Patrol will be back in Berlin on the 9th of February.
And hopefully by the time the calender switches from 06 to 07 I will have done most of the endless piles of homework I have to do for the university... It's killing me right now.

Talk to you soon!

Snow Patrol - Live in Berlin

, , , ...

Hello everyone,

as mentioned earlier, I went to the Snow Patrol concert in Huxley's Neue Welt yesterday. The event started at nine a clock with the startup band "The Cinematics" that really new how to rock.

Alltogether the concert was great but quite short. At least it seemed to me that way. But hey... maybe that is what good music and a great show does to you  If you like it... it's always to short.

I've managed to take some pictures for you that I've uploaded in my gallerie. And as a little treat for my readers I even got a short video clip for you. Enjoy.
