I have watched this series twice, and for the life of me I can not tell you what the hell was going on. AAHHHH. I think I was mindraped. But I don't remember. Tho I do have this nifty t-shirt that say:
"I was mindraped by a GAINT WTF monster"

Still it has a plot,albeit multiple ones, compared to some other ones.
And its not the first time I have read that synopsis.
It not whats going on or what the stroy is its just the whole achivement that is reached at the end. Basically what is the whole series going towards. Thats what I can't get.

Eva aka Evangelion, I saw that way back in 1999 and it left me thinking WTF then I start to read parts of the Bible and find out this show has very wicket twist on man and religion. Then when start to look at Gendo Ikari whole plans and how he used his son Shinji Ikari the whole plot and two movies has left me feeling like this anime is one of the best to really deal with religion and man quist to better then god.

Serial Experiments Lain Is good show dont get wrong its deep and there alot what make you go WTF but i think really dosnt leave me rushing to find out more. Evangelion for me is show can watch again and find some theng new in it.

Other than the bad graphics and the lame story, it was okay. (I've seen anime far worse than this. Believe me). Now that I've seen this episode and the next three, its no wonder it got low ratings and bad reviews. But, all in all its was pretty okay. "that girl" is right. It's a good show and it seems there's more to it than waht you think. But I'll still rate it below average.

Synopsis: Lain Iwakura appears to be an ordinary girl, with almost no experience with computers. Yet the sudden suicide of a schoolmate, and a number of strange occurrences, conspire to pull Lain into the world of the Wired, where she gradually learns that nothing is what it seems to be... not even Lain herself.

Uploader Comments: Serial Experiments Lain by Zhentarim DivX. Some would describe this serie as the bible of the information age since its not far from that. The animation is done by Yoshitoshi Abe (also know from NieA_7, Haibane Renmei, TEXHNOLYZE and others). Like all of Yoshito Abe's works the story and the characters play an important role. In comparison to his other works its not as laid back as NieA_7 or Haibane Renmei, but its not as epically mind-fucking as TEXHNOLYZE either, its somewhere inbetween. Truly a great anime that I would recommend to anyone sane enough to watch it.

I thought someone should explain the above... in math a function is something that serves a purpose... we all serve a purpose and everything serves a purpose... everything is also made up of something. a material. computers are electrical signals traveling through a massively complex maze of logical circuitry. Silicon. Our brains have just as complex a network only times i'd say about 360? Much like picture the master schematic of all circuits on a motherboard only written out in 360degree's that is. Brain matter. Our physical compositions are different but the functionality and design is not. Apart from our physical composition there is only our personality that separates us from our own designs and creation. Although its ridiculous that no ones put together the fact that creating perfect AI is DEFINITELY possible. No jokes its just like a count down to how fast we can advance our already existing technology to more completely understand our brains technology. If we know we could reduplicate that feature of ours selves by our selves whose to say we are not consequence to a continuous reimplementation of logic on earth... i won't get into the rest of THAT insanity

I will also watch it sometime.. but not now... there are other interesting series to watch first. BTW... watch CODE GEASS! It's just freakin awesome! If you like death note and such.. you'll love this!

and do not be turned-off if you see the robots... that's not what the story is about...

Yeah, it was only 13 episodes...I really liked it. Quite profound, and really gets u thinking!! Stuff like, what happened before the big bang, and who created god, and am I only vessel of data, or just a spec on a planet that is just a proton withing the atom of another life form or matter.....

As for Code Geass, I have already downed both seasons!! I just have not watched it yet cuz I cannot remux it to a ps3 compatible format and keep the subs and sound...the mkv files used some freaky sound codec...lolzzz

It will be a watch it on the computer session...

Well, its not all about robots... (although I also like mecha) but there are some people who wouldn't even think of watching it if they see a robot in that anime. I am totally irritated that they judge Mecha anime so badly.

Well, I am watching The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. The orderings of the episodes are weird.. good thing I finally managed to get the chronological order list of the episodes. Although any order will do. The ones on youtube and other anime streaming sites upload the episodes of this anime in broadcast order (the way it was broadcasted in japan) even though it all looks all mixed up. But they said the anime is fine in any order.

That sounds like a grate anime!!

I am downing it now....and, the torrent I am getting has several different methods of watching it. Either chorno order, or airded order...wild

I will watch it chrono order, just my pref.

I just finished Black Lagoon. It was crazy fun! I feel they left it kinda open, so I hopping for a season two someday.
