Aubry, 7 - My daughter has been obsessed with Dora the Explorer since she was 2. But these days she's into a new show called Doc McStuffins. She said, "Now that I have given up Dora, I have opened my heart to a lot of other things."
Pipper, 4 - Shortly before our family's move to a new home, I overheard my daughter tell the teacher, "We each get our own room in the new house! Well, there aren't enough rooms for Mommy and Daddy. They will still have to share."
Ryder, 6 - My son couldn't find his favorite toothpaste one morning. When I suggested he use his sister's toothpaste, he replied, "No, I don't want my teeth to smell like a girl."
Alex, 4 - We were on a road trip and the kids kept fighting over which DVD to watch. Fed up, my husband said, "I'm going to throw it out the window if you don't cut it out." My son replied, "That would be littering, Dad."
