When we arrive we just went to the old city quarter near the hotel. Quite nice area and they have some sort of festivities so we did enjoy the walk and the shopping on the little stands and shops all over the area.
The day after we went to the Tiger Hill. This area born as the Tomb of King He Lu that was protected with white tigers. Actually those tigers now days are little pussy cats that cannot resist to a beautiful girl hug. Also there we found the Wanjing Villa with incredible gardens with the most nice bonsais. After that we climb to the hill to found the Pagoda of the Yunyan Temple. Or as I call it the Leaning Tower of Suzhou since as the Pisa one it's leaning as if it was going to fall.
The Fisherman's Garden (Wangshiyuan) was our next stop. A real nice place. Actually it handle an garden architecture forum. So we did enjoy it.
From there we went to visit the official Silk Factory. So we learn the complete process from the worm to the dress itself. Something that was so curious was that after taking all the silk from the cocoon, the worm was use as a delicatessen meal. mmmm I guess i won't test it.
And then the so expected Tangli village, the so call Chinese Venice by Marco Polo. So nice, real impressive. Something to visit and have a boat round by the channels.
Hehe, another nice place.
