flashes from my spare time

Suzhou 2010

, , ,

We arrived at night so what the better than have a walk over the old city. So that's what we did, and we were real lucky since they have a sort of local festivity so the streets were crowded. We had quite fun.

The day after we wake up in a fine shape so we started our trip with the Tiger Hill, real nice place. Actually the Hill was intended to be protected by the tigers something that nowadays seems it doesn't occur. Plenty of people. And when we give a look to the tigers we understand why. They are so cute big cats that love to be hug by pretty girls.

Something that shock me was the leaning tower, actually is a Pagoda, that is almost alike the one at Pisa on Chinese style.

After that we visit the fisherman garden, a small garden quite nice that we all loved.

And from there we gave a visit to the official silk factory where we learn how curios is the silk process from the worm to the very dress. By the way, did you know that after taking all the silk from the cocoon they took the boiled worm to eat as a delicatessen. mmm, I guess I won't taste them.

Well, and after that what all we were waiting and our harts were bitting for... The Chinese Venezzia as Marco Polo named it. The town of Tongli. Nice indeed. We even had a boat trip all over enjoying the water street together with the cormoran that we saw fish.

Real nice day.
