A Golden Bird That Flies Away, A Candle's Fickle Flame

I decided to take a break from packing and getting things organized so I can write a blog entry. I'm currently listening to CAKE while drinking some coffee. I ran out of the Colombian goodness a few days ago, so I'm having to settle for standard coffee.

Speaking of coffee, I was watching Food Network last night, and they were talking about all sorts of different products from Rhode Island. They mentioned this stuff called Coffee Milk, and I perked right up. I'd never heard of this stuff before. Evidently there are two different companies which make the stuff: Autocrat and Eclipse. [Apparently Eclipse doesn't have a Web site. We'll have to change that. Hehe.] They said that Autocrat is sweeter and has less of a coffee flavor, and Eclipse has more of a coffee flavor to it. Of course, I'd probably like the Eclipse brand more.

From what I saw, it's basically the same idea as chocolate milk. You pour a little bit of the coffee syrup into a glass and then add milk to it and stir it up. It sounds kinda icky, but everyone they interviewed about it ranted and raved about it. I just might have to order some of it and try it for myself. Of course, I'll have to use soy milk since I'm Lactose intolerant. down By the way - if you haven't ever tried chocolate soy milk, I highly recommend it...even if you're not Lactose intolerant. It's really fucking tasty! *drool*

In other news - Lonnie & I will be settling our cases soon. I don't know if I've mentioned it before or not, so I will recap just in case. On April 27, 2005 Lonnie and I were in our Ford Explorer [we no longer have that vehicle] driving along - minding our own business. We stopped at a stoplight when suddenly BAM! We were hit from behind by a cattle truck which had a full load. Long story short: We have lots of neck & back problems as a result. We've both been to countless doctors and have been told that our injuries will affect us for the rest of our lives. Lovely, right? [Yes - I love the middle finger.]

Anyway, we've been seeing doctors since the accident in an attempt to feel some relief from the chronic pain. My injuries are actually a little worse than Lonnie's. I have lost muscle mass in my left arm, and my left arm is also constantly numb. This completely blows ass since I'm left-handed. irked Directly after the accident, I couldn't even lift a dinner plate with my left hand. I've gained some strength back in my arm, but it's still not anywhere near where it should be. Needless to say, I'm extremely pissed off about the whole thing. It's fucked with my quality of life, and I don't take that lightly. Playing my bass is even a difficult thing for me to do...and even things like clipping my nails on my right hand takes a lot of effort. It makes me feel like an invalid or something.

Well, we're finally at the point where we're talking about a settlement, and it's nice to see a light at the end of the tunnel. I just want all of this shit to be done and over with. I'm so sick of having the stress of this issue in the back of my mind. I cannot wait until this issue is no longer a damned issue! I seriously can't take much more stress. I very well may have a nervous break-down at this rate! cry

I guess I'd better get some work done now. sad ...
