This Makes Karen Sad sad

, ,

I keep getting this screen every time I try to view my alerts:

I'm not bitching - don't get me wrong here. I loves me some MyOpera! love
I understand that they're probably busy working on the database or something.
I just get sad when I can't view comments people have left for me. sad *sigh*

Let's all send happy vibes to Opera so that everything gets all fixed up without a hitch, shall we?! up

Still getting the message?

KarenNerak Wednesday, December 12, 2007 6:24:59 PM

No! Yay! party It just went away! You really ARE an angel! You showed up and it disappeared! love

It's caused by people from all round the world trying to access My Opera at once. I've also noticed that sometimes when I read new comments, they are added not at the end of the list, but somewhere further up. I think it happens when several people submit comment at the same time. You only see your own comment at first and the rest only appear hours later.

Well, they had some updates planned for today, so I think that's what's actually going on. wink

In the 70's & 80's it was common for mainframes and BBS's to be up for as little as an hour a day. any updates or changes required the totall shutdown of the system. Thank God for progress!

they will get happy vibes when my watched items list gets back to normal, instead of 3 columns of your posts, attila's posts, callya's posts, and mik's posts.

KarenNerak Wednesday, December 12, 2007 8:50:00 PM

I think I'd rather thank the geeks & nerds for that one rather than God...especially since my Snookums is one of them. love o heart

KimberlySqueakeyCat Wednesday, December 12, 2007 10:38:43 PM

lol

Mad Scientistqlue Wednesday, December 12, 2007 11:50:12 PM

The terms 'geek' and 'nerd' are redundant. Those terms refer to a displaced minority. At the time there was no job for them so they had to create jobs. Now you need some IT skills even to be a cashier. Thus having computer science on you curriculum vitae is no longer unusual. Long live the wizard

for sure

lol You may say that I am an angel, but I think I am cursed! I had the same problem that LC had on the watched list! It took like 12 years to load all the feeds that were coming. bigsmile I just clicked on one and they all went away! monkey Kill the monkey scared

KarenNerak Thursday, December 13, 2007 3:52:40 PM

Or you could just shock the monkey like Peter Gabriel said to do. yes

Sarah angel292005 Thursday, December 13, 2007 5:05:36 PM

lol Is it still working ok for you?

KarenNerak Thursday, December 13, 2007 9:01:28 PM

Everything seems to be working really well today! party

KimberlySqueakeyCat Friday, December 14, 2007 3:12:00 AM
