ATTENTION GEEKS OF MY.OPERA!!!
Monday, 16. March 2009, 05:05:41
I gotta be honest. This thing almost makes me want to switch over to FF, even if only for a limited time. ALMOST. I won't be doing that.
So anyway, here's what I'm babbling about.
A short description:
MushroomKingdom is a theme for all of the Super Mario Bros. fans out there. It features a landscape-style background, colorful icons with personality, and pipe scrollbars. Large icons are 32px and small are 24px.
A couple screenshots...
Here's a full browser image...
Soooo, since I don't personally have a clue how to make skins for Opera, I'm hoping that one of the Super Geeks out there will see this post and decide to grace us Opera users with a similar skin! PLEASE...For the love of God...Gimme some Mario for my browser!!!
Anyone out there willing to take this one on? I'd be ever so appreciative! I know that an assload of my friends would be, too!
(If there's already a Mario skin for Opera, why hasn't anyone mentioned it to me?

Dacotah # 16. March 2009, 07:19
Happy to hear you are feeling better.
Guess what I'm trying to do? Since 12:30 am Sat. I started doing the patch. It's a bitch trying to stop smoking. Chewing lots of gum, eating tooties pops, peanut M & M's. 4 times are the hardest. 1. Right after I wake up 2. After eating 3. In the car and 4. Playing poker.
I'm determind to stop smoking.
Nerak # 16. March 2009, 07:24
Good job on sticking to it this long!!! You're doing great so far...I know you can kick it for good!
Dacotah # 16. March 2009, 07:28
I didn't know you smoked for 10 years. I'm sure it wasn't easy.
Thanks. The Force was strong in you than.

so, this seems to be the FIRST alternate-skin on firefox....opera has many
Anyway, you haven't lost much, it's not a big deal
Nerak # 17. March 2009, 01:14
I only use FF when some lame-ass site isn't equipped to handle the awesomeness that is Opera. That is the ONLY time, though. I'm loyal to the end!
ste-ven # 17. March 2009, 01:32
puah..that browser has only ONE skin..grey
(i write sometimes in mine - romanian - and in french )
Opera uses dictionaries (thus check-spellers) from the GNU (the free soft), and that IS great

But F.F. has CoolIris, which is absolutely great when tracking down a particular 'photo, and, um, lots of skins, and works with just about every site.
They compliment each other. Safari and Camino don't really bring anything extra to the table and I.E., the best thing I can say about it is that Netscape Navigator was worse. Marginally. Arrgh. How can it get WORSE with every new version??! There must be a bottom somewhere, surely. You know, when it just switches off the computer after you've turned it on to save your blood pressure. Never. Again.
Got to check that dictionary thing out.
And I love Opera Mini. Blogin' on the way to work. That's really damn cool.
Nerak # 17. March 2009, 02:22
Hahaha...that is SO funny! It's like they're trying to out-do their shittiness or something!
I don't even own a cell phone, so mini isn't my thing. :shrugs: I have no use for a cell phone. I have nobody I want to call or get calls from when I'm out & about. It'd just be another expense I don't need.

for more than 200 years the only printing machine for the Arab alphabet worked in Syria (i believe in Aleppo). It has been made around 1700 and printed...Bibles. !!! Of course, as the authorities prohibited the use of printing machines for the Arab...coz they were the work of devil
but Arab Christians could print, but on a SINGLE machine in the whole Arab world !!
I'm telling you that bc the "devil's hand" had been manufactured in Romania, at Targoviste (or Bucharest). It has printed there several books in Arab, then a cleric from Syria (Paul of Aleppo) has been called. The poor priest worked some time to get all the approvals from the Turkish authorities (the masters of most of the Arab world at the time) and transported the device to Syria. The machine has also been used, in its last years of service, for printing the first Arab news-papers !!
(you will hardly find references...but if you dig..who knows )
You find here something

and here, (data are a little confusing)
