Let's Go On A Tour of The Apartment, Shall We?

I finally got around to taking some pictures! :yes: They're by no means perfect, but they'll have to do for now. As you look through them, please keep in mind that we haven't lived here very long yet, so that's why there are no pictures on the walls yet...and why it's not incredibly organized yet. The stomach flu set me back a little, so now I have to make up for lost time.

I'll make sure to post more pictures once we're 100% settled in, organized, and decorated! :smile:

As for now, though, let's just go for a tour and not worry about organizing & decorating, shall we? (You can right-click on almost all of these pictures and click "View Image" to view it full sized!)

Here is a picture of the outside of our building.
We're in the very top left.
(The one hidden by the tree. Homer: Doh! )


Here's a picture so you can see what the garages look like.
(They normally cost an additional $60/mo.,
but the manager liked us so much that she threw it in for free! :eyes: )


This is a picture of the keypad for the alarm system.
Each apartment gets its own alarm system.


Welcome to the living room! :D


Lonnie's desk is so freakin' monsterous that we had no choice but to put our dining room table & chairs in storage so his desk could take up the dining area. It sucks to be without the table, but oh well. Gotta do what'cha gotta do! :D


Behind Lonnie's desk is a sliding glass door.
It leads onto one of the balconies...
(Those are some of the tomatoes we rescued from our garden at the old house.)


When I first saw the kitchen, I was worried that we'd not be able to fit all of our stuff in it...and also worried that it'd be overly cramped. I worried for nothing. This kitchen may have fewer square feet than the last one, but it has more drawers & cupboards...and is laid out to be much more user friendly and efficient. :D

The apartment came with a washer and dryer,
so we're going to sell our high efficiency set!

We're still in Sunny's room...I want to show you the closet doors.
All of the bedroom closet doors in the apartment are mirrored just like this:


This is the last one in my daughter's room. I wanted to show everyone what my son got for my daughter, though! He was taking the trash out when he stumbled upon the framed picture of a couple puppies. He knew his sister would love it, so he brought it in & gave it to her. He was right...she adores it! :o: :heart:


Okay, now here's a picture of our master bathroom. It's got weird angles in there, so it's hard to take a picture of. As you can see, though, it has a sink/counter/cupboards...and it also has a shower straight back there. I couldn't fit it in, but if you round the little corner to the left, that's where you'd find the toilet. It's kinda got it's own little area...I like that a lot. :happy:

Lonnie & I have a sliding glass door in our bedroom.
It leads out to the second balcony...



That's all for inside of the apartment for right now. Like I said - it's still kind of a mess, so I didn't want to take anymore pictures of our mess. I promise to post more pics & even a video once I've finally gotten the apartment completely organized & decorated. :smile:


Now let's go outside so I can show you the amenities and whatnot! :yes:

There are a few designated car washing spots throughout the property. I think it's totally awesome! Too bad our car got repo'd, or I'd have a reason to use 'em. :rolleyes:


They disguise the ugly garbage dumpsters
by putting them inside of little fenced off areas like this one.
(There's a dumpster in there as well as big recycling bins)

The building in this picture is what the managers call the "Clubhouse". The managers and handy men drive around the complex in those little golf carts. They're just too cute!


This picture doesn't do the place justice,
but here's a shot of the inside of the clubhouse.
We're allowed 24/7 access to the place if we want it.
They said we can throw birthday parties in there,
have clients over to talk business...
...basically use it as a place to meet up if we need one.


They've got a little atrium thingy in the clubhouse.
It's really cool. It has a little pond with Koi fishies swimming in it. :D


Here's kind of a crappy shot of the fitness room.
It's got two treadmills, a weight machine thingy, an exercise bike,
and a TV which is hooked up with satellite TV. :yes:


Here is the infamous tanning bed!
I have spent a lot of naked time in that thing! :lol:


Hooray for the hot tub! :yes:
It's in the clubhouse, too, so we can use it 24/7.


Lastly, here is the sauna.
I've gone in there a couple times so far...I love it!!!



Sooooooo, there you have it! I'm really sorry it took me so long. I hope it was worth the wait! Like I said; I will post updated pictures and also a video once I've had the chance to organize & decorate. :coffee:

Biscuit! OMG I love it! We don't have a fireplace or tanning bed or any of that cool other stuff...just your basics. :D You really did a great job with the 'tour'. You always have a great way of being so personal.

That is great that S took the move so well. :smile: M is just bugging me to move back. :frown: Maybe we will one day, lol. Love ya and thanks so much for the tour. Looks like so much fun. :smile: :love:

Yes, it looks really nice, and clean and neat Karen. I know it will look great once you get everything just the way you want it. The clubhouse looks great! I'll move in there, thank you. And I like the carwash areas. Never seen that before.

The best thing about the apartment is that between utility costs and rent, we are paying about $700 less per month! :yes: (Maybe even a little bit more than that!) It's definitely a downgrade, but in no way feels like one! :happy:


Carol, I've never heard of it before, either. It looks like it'd be worth a shot for someone like you, though. It's made for Cherry Coke lovers! :yes: Too bad we don't live closer. I'd make you a batch! :sst: They'd not ship too well. :down:


Andrew - We are very blessed that this place accepted us with our credit being as bad as it is. We thought they'd deny us for sure. :smile:

700 a month? A place like that here would be well over 2000$ a month in my area. 700 would only get ya a bachelor pad and a slum lord here.
I'm glad you and Lonnie were able to find a place you can be happy in.

I can honestly state that my ass has never been exposed to anything long enough to get burnt!
I have had a nipple bitten by a wild rat...and I guess that's eaqually strange. The experience enlightend me with the realization that I will never under any circumstances consider gettin nipple piercings!

Olga - Thank you! We plan to stay here for a very, very long time to come. The rent is totally within our budget, so we don't foresee any reason to move...especially since the kids love it so much, too. :yes:

Tab - It's not $700/mo. It's $700 less per month than what we were paying before. :up: You can get a decent one bedroom place for $700/mo. here, though. :D

:eyes: OUCH! Nipple bites from a rat would freakin' hurt...and this is coming from someone who has had her nipples pierced! :lol:

Oh sorry..missread that..duh.
Yeah..I was being nice and decided to live trap the little bugger and her babies. I didn't want to kill it for just being a rat and I didn't want in my home spreading disease to my pet rats.
I just happened to fall asleep on my couch and the little beast came up through the back of my couch and chomped my exposed nipple. I guess the little beast was threatened by my oh so sexay chainsaw like snoring!
