The Tastiest Day of The Year

, , ,

Today is the completely unofficial, but nonetheless awesome, holiday known as International Bacon Day! headbang The holiday, which occurs annually on the Saturday before Labor Day in the United States, was the brainchild of a group of students at University of Colorado at Boulder in 2004. As you’d expect, the holiday celebrates all things bacon, and is best celebrated by making and consuming bacon-related foods and beverages.

Are you going to celebrate this bacony awesome holiday? If so, how? sherlock

Just one day, though? Shouldn't bacon have it's own week? I had a bacon and butter sandwich for breakfast.

Bacon! and sorta ironic that Boulderites came up with it considering how many vegan and veggies live there.

KarenNerak Monday, September 5, 2011 6:51:29 PM

Apparently the few carnivores who live there are awesome. bigsmile

He wasn't saying that they invented bacon, for cryin' out loud. If you read my post, you'll see that a group of college kids from Colorado created International Bacon Day.
