We've Got Ourselves a Cute Little Stream!

Here's a picture I took when we first moved into the house in July:

It's been raining for about...hmm. I'm not sure. sherlock
Not quite 48 hours straight, but almost. The result? ⬇

Once it rains non-stop over the course of the winter,
we'll have quite a neato little stream going....Yay! party

Your phone records higher quality video than my Kodak ;_;
That's pretty neat; the weather is the opposite here, but it has been raining today.

Mild and balmy in November; why does anyone like Florida?

Dacotah Wednesday, November 23, 2011 1:11:46 AM

I agree, great video quality Karen.
What kind of phone do you have?

Looks great, nice to have a creek come through your backyard.

Have a great night.

KarenNerak Wednesday, November 23, 2011 1:32:57 AM

I'm pretty happy with the recording quality, Mason. bigsmile

I've never been to Florida, so I couldn't tell you. The only reason I have any desire to ever visit Florida is to go to Disney World. yes

Thanks, Carol! bigsmile I have a Windows 7 Phone. (of course) lol I'm such a flippin' Microsoft groupie.

I'll do my best to have a lovely evening....you do the same, my precious Snickerdoodle! heart

Charles SchlossChas4 Wednesday, November 23, 2011 3:18:10 AM

Put one of the toy kids boats down the stream bigsmile

Record audio of the stream put it on the computer into a loop

KarenNerak Wednesday, November 23, 2011 4:15:53 AM

bigeyes That's a terrific idea! I need to find a boat..STAT! pirate

The problem is that the side street gets a decent amount of traffic during the day, and I don't wanna hear that crap. Honestly, I don't understand WHY it gets as much traffic as it does since we live out in the freakin' boonies. confused

Dacotah Wednesday, November 23, 2011 5:13:07 AM

I sure will, thank you Special K. heart

KarenNerak Wednesday, November 23, 2011 5:36:41 AM

You're always very welcome! heart

Great video and great commentry Karen. happy love heart up coffee

Annespiritcrow Wednesday, November 23, 2011 12:27:43 PM

pretty! I'd be excited about that too, I'm a nature lovah as well.

Well I live in Florida p and the winter is mild in north florida so it's quite lovely. The summer is nasty, right now it's raining though lol usually it doesn't.

My parents live in south florida, hooo that is muggy and hot hot hot! I might end up having to move back there, acckk nooo I dread that weather.

Anyway, I agree, that is good video quality as well you got there yes

John BallCATMAN42 Wednesday, November 23, 2011 12:36:48 PM

I would love to live somewhere like Florida. Here in the UK the winters can be wuite harsh with plenty if snow and the summers are usually rainy. So some sunshine would be most welcome. happy up coffee

John BallCATMAN42 Wednesday, November 23, 2011 12:37:41 PM

Sorry that should be quite and not wuite. lol lol

Annespiritcrow Wednesday, November 23, 2011 2:26:48 PM

That is definitely nice, the amount of sunshine more than the warmth. My husband grew up mostly in Florida and wants to live somewhere cold. I grew up in the north.

I said try 17 years of winter and you will want warmth again lol you always want what you don't have it seems, but places like Seattle and London, although beautiful, also might make me more depressed, being used to the sun and such smile

This is just like me. bigsmile I grew up in Puerto Rico, witch is mostly 80 degrees all year-round.

I can't stand the beach or tropical weather anymore. I prefer the mountains and cold weather. Just the opposite. bigsmile

Annespiritcrow Wednesday, November 23, 2011 5:01:58 PM

yeah, I guess you want the opposite. The beach always sounded nice to me because all we had there were green lakes, ew. I do like the mountains too though. All of nature really.

Thanks, John! I'm glad you enjoyed it. bigsmile

Anne, I lived in Montana for over 20 years, so I know all about living in cold climates. I miss the snow sometimes, but it's nice to not have to scrape the windshield and let the car warm up for 15 minutes...or have to plug it in, etc. Plus, I get pretty severe seasonal depression, so that kinda blows. Taking Vitamin D & whatnot helps, though.

HOWEVER, I would much rather live in arctic-like conditions than muggy, humid, hot, nasty conditions. Heat and I do not mesh well. lol

John BallCATMAN42 Thursday, November 24, 2011 10:19:50 AM

Karen I think you may change your mind if you had to live in arctic conditions like we get in the UK during our winters and sometimes our summers too.As you can probably tell the cold and I do not mesh either. lol heart up coffee

Use an audio program to filter it out bigsmile

KarenNerak Thursday, November 24, 2011 9:57:00 PM

John, when I lived in Montana, we'd get -50 F temps along with several feet of snow for months. I wasn't kidding when I said I'm used to arctic-like conditions! lol Walking outside with wet hair and it instantly freezes...I loved that! headbang

Too much work, Chas. lol

Cleanclean Friday, November 25, 2011 3:30:16 AM

Now make paper boats and go down there with bare feet and splash around! What? 12 degrees?

OK ... maybe don't bother with the boats, then. wink

KarenNerak Friday, November 25, 2011 4:09:48 AM

I take cold showers, so it'd not be much different. bigsmile I told Jameson today that we need to start constructing boats.

John BallCATMAN42 Friday, November 25, 2011 9:34:27 AM

Well Karen I can tell you.I hate the cold weather and would much rather live in a country with warm weather all year round. happy up coffee

KarenNerak Friday, November 25, 2011 7:41:26 PM

Totally understandable. up

John BallCATMAN42 Friday, November 25, 2011 7:48:18 PM

Thanks Karen. happy up coffee

Spaggyj Saturday, November 26, 2011 12:41:38 AM

Awesome self-deprecating laugh lol Your voice is a little higher than I'd have thought.

KarenNerak Saturday, November 26, 2011 1:37:12 AM

lol I'm good at self-deprecation.

I hear that all the time - about my voice. I allegedly sound like a 12 year old Canadian girl. *shrug* Eh?

Spaggyj Saturday, November 26, 2011 1:52:01 AM

I wouldn't go that far right

Annespiritcrow Saturday, November 26, 2011 5:03:33 PM

You don't sound like a little girl, pft to whoever said that ! smile

KarenNerak Saturday, November 26, 2011 8:51:11 PM

There's quite a list of people right here on MyO who have said that. lol I won't call 'em out, though. I've already made 'em feel pretty crappy about it in the past. left

Spaggyj Sunday, November 27, 2011 4:07:12 AM

Well, I don't agree with them at any rate. Younger than your years, yes. Little girl, no. bigsmile

KarenNerak Sunday, November 27, 2011 4:51:11 AM

That, I can deal with! yes

Mad Scientistqlue Sunday, November 27, 2011 9:43:06 AM

But how much younger than 22 can you go before you hit twelve? whistlep .

KarenNerak Sunday, November 27, 2011 9:50:14 PM

bigeyes *brain fart*
