Another Video of Dorkery

I don't need to say much - it's pretty self explanatory.
Yes, I know I sound like a young dork.
No need to inform me of this fact.
Enjoy..or at least try to! up

Like the snowflakes. And the green tinsel. (Garland.) Like the contrasting lights too.
Like the little fake present string; reminds me of some tree ornaments we had when I was a kid.
Wow! An oil train! happy That's SO awesome! It's gonna look really cool with all the village and all bigsmile
Odd plug light things, they're cool. Good idea with the suction cups; much neater than sticky-tack or tape.
Your lack of language is something everyone suffers from, especially when it's gonna be public lol it's endearing though.
Your geranium flower looks like the neck of a snail in shape bigsmile

As an adult (not living with a parent) I've NEVER had any form of Christmas decorations or tree. We were either in temporary accommodation, too low/broke/busy for the whole thing or whatever. I never really wanted loads of stuff, but I've never really felt "Christmassy" since leaving home, even Christmas Day itself was a bit weird.
We got a little black tree though, this year. It's only a foot and a half tall, but I really like it. We managed to get some silver/black decorations, and some white lights for it and it all cost about £6 all together. I'm not allowed it up until the 12th because Mik has some stupid superstition about it rolleyes but I threaded all the baubles in preparation last night, and we've decided it'll adorn the desk. And that'll be enough for me, I'm really looking forward to my first little tree. I'll post a picture when it's up bigsmile

Awww! That's so awesome about the little tree you got! I cannot wait to see a picture! I'm happy that you'll at least have something holiday oriented in your home. To me, it seems to make the holidays more enjoyable. Even if I just had one little tree like yours, it'd make all the difference in the world to me. bigsmile

I've been collecting all of this Christmas stuff since I was a kid. Well, some of it was from my childhood, but a lot of it was bought over the years at After Christmas Sales. bigsmile That's the best time to buy the stuff. Major discounts! The only down-side is having to wait until the following Christmas to actually be able to use it.

My lack of language, I think, was a mixture of being freezing cold, exhaustion, and being nervous. Making these videos is quite the nerve wracking endeavor for me. left

Once we get the little village set up behind the train tracks, I'll be sure to post pics or a video of it. bigsmile

John BallCATMAN42 Sunday, December 4, 2011 2:44:19 PM

H82typ Sunday, December 4, 2011 3:18:17 PM

In Oregon, Tamil? lol I've no doubt there are areas there that require them. Most places in the US look like what's in that vid. No security bars anywhere.

Uncle MickMickeyjoe-Irl Sunday, December 4, 2011 10:40:42 PM

We need a new word to describe this...

adorkable bigsmile

Charles SchlossChas4 Sunday, December 4, 2011 10:54:00 PM

Different parts of the US have different looks for houses and building. All have different styles and colors.

I think that is one reason some people like taking road trips in the US, as they seem many different styles

After Christmas sales rock. I wish I had more patience for them. They usually start in January here, and my birthday's on December 30th, so I get too impatient and buy stuff at higher price lol
Just having this tree so far undecorated has buoyed me a lot. Over time we will get more than just a tree, but it'll do for this year bigsmile
I know what you mean about the videos. I've made... 3? And all of them were a terrifying endeavour.

night wolf Monday, December 5, 2011 5:22:26 AM

Thank you, everyone! happy I'm glad you guys like the progress we've made. bigsmile

Tamil, nobody has bars on their windows here. Not even in the city, but I live in a small town. Half the people don't even lock their front door at night. I do, of course. I'm wayyy too paranoid to not keep my windows & doors locked. p

*Makes note of Kimmie's upcoming birthday*

Adorkable...lol I love that word! yes

Looks lovely! And I hope you get a really cold Christmas so you guys can use that cool fireplace!

Around here if we put decorations up outside some wanker would go past and either steal 'em, or rip 'em down because their wankerism would force them to indulge in a random act of vandelism.

Dee put the tree up on the 1st, but we haven't decorated anything yet. We have, however, sorted the decorations into different boxes by colour! At this rate, we should have everything decorated by the 24th! up

Dee's had to take it easy because her arm dropped off after an horrific prawn-related stabbing (she was moving bags of frozen prawns and one of the dead leapt up and jabbed her in the finger with its pointy-nosery-feelery-things).

Those little suction cups sound cool. Never use thumb tacks. If you get a pice of hardwood behind them, the top of the tack will push down to the wall, but the tack part will stay behind and lodge in your thumb (as I found out one Christmas). whistle

KarenNerak Monday, December 5, 2011 9:55:31 PM

DOWN WITH WANKERY!!! irked I hate how it seems that some people lack conscience. down

We use the fireplace once in a while, actually. It looks nice out, but it gets really cold due to the humidity. Brrr.

A couple after my own heart! Orderliness/cleanliness is next to Godliness! yes

Owies...please give my best to Dee..and let her know I'll devour some prawns in the near future as a form of revenge for her. devil

lol OUCH! You guys sound just about as accident prone as I am!
