KarenNerak Tuesday, December 20, 2011 3:08:15 AM

It normally rains 9 months of the year, so that's pretty much what I've been preparing for. *shrug* Either way is fine with me, really. smile I've grown to not loathe the rain like I did when we first moved here.

I did, Kim...and replied. smile

KimberlySqueakeyCat Tuesday, December 20, 2011 3:24:41 AM

...I'm calling it a night. I'll keep you posted tomorrow! up

BeccaBeccamaus Tuesday, December 20, 2011 5:04:58 AM

I thought about doing something like that from our balcony. I could never live somewhere permanently where there isn't a change of seasons...way too boring...if there was always sunshine I wouldn't have anything to complain about...lol wink

Dark FurieFurie Tuesday, December 20, 2011 10:48:44 AM

Again with the song! scared

Hmmm, are you sure those dates are right on that photo? left

Robert Jacobsenrobertj Tuesday, December 20, 2011 3:04:45 PM

What temperatures are you currently experiencing? It's just recently fallen below zero (or 32 degrees Fahrenheit) in Oslo, and we're more or less experiencing the warmest winter ever measured. :S

Dacotah Wednesday, December 21, 2011 1:06:40 AM

They all look good to me.
It's weird we don't have snow here yet and it's almost Christmas. faint

Spaggyj Wednesday, December 21, 2011 5:03:26 PM

Least the sidewalk got finished p

KarenNerak Wednesday, December 21, 2011 7:48:11 PM

That is weird, Carol. I lived in ND for a spell when I was a kid. I remember the brutal winter there. Mother Nature must be smokin' Crack again.

lol Yes! They fixed the sidewalk about two weeks after we moved in...thank goodness. It drove me absolutely nuts!

I've lived in 7 different states. Have lived in the Pacific NW since 2007. I hated the season issues here the first couple years, but it grows on ya'. It's worth having so much rain just to live in such a beautiful place. Incredibly green here...and since the trees are everywhere, you can still take walks & such and not get wet. The tree tops shield you. bigsmile

lol Couldn't resist the song! devil
I'm positive on the dates. smile

Robert, it's currently 37°F, which is a normal temp for this time of year. It's the lack of rain that's incredibly abnormal.

Does it ever fall below zero, I mean, 32°F? What do you call it? "Freezing point"? Sounds cool. bigsmile

Pun intended

KarenNerak Wednesday, December 21, 2011 7:58:15 PM

lol Very, very, very rarely does it fall below freezing.

Quite different from when I lived in Montana. I remember walking Sunny a couple blocks to school in -40°F with the wind chill...and snow up to my knees and her hips! lol Our hair would freeze, our nostrils would feel crunchy...ahhh. Those were the days. o p

night wolf Wednesday, December 21, 2011 8:34:58 PM

Happy Yalda Night wink

KarenNerak Wednesday, December 21, 2011 8:38:20 PM

Right back at'cha, Amir! bigsmile

Dacotah Wednesday, December 21, 2011 11:51:43 PM

Yep, weird. Last year was the first Christmas in years that we had any snow to speak of. The years before nothing, like this year.

KarenNerak Friday, December 23, 2011 8:39:58 PM

Al Gore jinxed us with all this gabbin' about global warming. I say we lynch him! knight
