ARCTIC BLAST 2012!!!
Wednesday, January 18, 2012 12:26:57 AM
This whole "snow" thing is crackin' me up something fierce!

The people on the news are seriously acting as though the end has come.
ANY time we get snow - even a minor dusting, they refer to it as "Arctic Blast 20__"
I figured I'd go outside and snap a few pictures just so you can see what it is
that everyone is freakin' out over. Man, this kills me.

Here we have a news reporter who's out in the "blizzard"...
telling us how horrible the conditions are:

Just to give you an idea of what we're dealing with here,
take a look at my feet in the freakin' slush that they're calling snow:

Here's a shot I took looking down my street.
Looks ever so treacherous, doesn't it?!

All of this just cracks me up SO hard. I mean, really. I understand that they're not used to snow here in Oregon, but gimme an effin' break! The way they're overreacting, you'd think that people are having to shovel their ways out of their front doors or something. Good God...if we ever get REAL snow, I would hate to think of how they'd handle it...or not handle it, actually.

Must say though I hate driving in slush, it's very slippery.

I'm 5'9", so if I had tiny feet, I'd constantly be falling over.

(very strange I can even find an event from 3 years ago on 3 different search engines)
Now this is snow

Anyway,...someone was driving the car. There was nothing slippery to be had that day.
