I'm with Aadil and Tamil. There was no need to kill them---honey bees are in all kinds of trouble anyway, and to kill a swarm that a beekeeper would love to take just is upsetting. Anytime a swarm is found, call the county or beekeeper if you know one. They will be happy to come and take the bees away to a hive and rid you of your problem.

Sorry, Karen, to sound so grumpy, but I have a special regard for bees. They are our principal pollinator. When the bees are killed off, species after species of plants will become extinct because bees are their only pollinators. And many of those plants will be food plants.awww
