Lonnie, Gift, I'm In Love, Thankful
Lonnie went out to run some errands today. Since I'm not fully healed yet and totally over-did it on Saturday when we went shopping, I was left with no choice but to stay home. Though it may sound pathetic to some, Lonnie and I are accustomed to being together 24 hours a day, 7 days per week, so when one of us goes away for any length of time, we really miss each other.
Like I said, it might seem pathetic and needy to some, but we just love each other so much and get along that well.
Wellllll, when my amazing hubby returned home from his errand running this afternoon, he handed me a little package. I had zero clue what it was - thought maybe he got me a pack of gum or something. (I'm a gum-a-holic) I opened the package up and found the sweetest, prettiest heart-shaped necklace that you see pictured below.

I think the following song expresses my feelings perfectly,
so I'm dedicating it to my amazing man, Lonnie.
I
You, Daddy!
Always And Forever by Kip Dynamite
Why do you love me?
Why do you need me?
Always and Forever.
We met in a chat room,
Now our love can fully bloom.
Sure the World Wide Web is great,
But you, you make me salivate.
Yes I love technology,
But not as much as you, you see.
But I still love technology.
Always and Forever.
Our love is like a flock of doves,
Flying off to Heaven above.
Always and Forever.
Always and Forever.

Awww, Gift, Love, Sunny
I woke up this morning with Sunny excited to give me a letter she'd written me. I was so touched that I cried and cried...and cried. Here's what it says - word for word:Mom,
I know why you have nightmares about us. It's because you love us too much to let us go! I know that even though you don't want to make dinner, you do - 'cause you care about us. I know that when you tell me, "You're beautiful" that you mean it and that it comes from the heart. I know that when you smile, I smile! I know that if you died today, my life could not go on.
You're the most giving, the most nicest, the most wonderful Mom I could ever want! I also know why God put you through the things you've been through. 'Cause he knew you would have a big enough heart to deal with it.
I LOVE YOU!
Happy B-Day!
Love,
SunnyHere's the adorable sweet and amazing smelling candle she bought me:

I am so blessed.

Random Info, Altruism, Gift, Bewbs
I was watching an episode of Extreme Home Make-Over a couple weeks ago. The family which was chosen for the make-over had quite a story. The Mom (of three kids) was diagnosed with Leukemia when she was, I believe, 34 years old. She was lucky enough to have found a bone marrow donor, and the fact that he had donated literally saved this woman's life. It saved the Mom of three kids. It saved the wife of a devoted husband. It saved a daughter. You get my point. This man's selfless actions impacted the lives of an entire family.
Well, the Home Make-Over people decided to surprise the woman by bringing her donor to meet her. When I saw how she clung onto him...how she cried with such emotion...how HE cried with such emotion. Ugh. My heart felt like it was literally weeping. It was at that exact moment that I said to myself, "I've got to do this!"
I got on my computer the next day and looked up the website that was mentioned on the TV show (Be The Match) and looked around. Honestly, I didn't do too much looking other than to find the link where I could sign up. That's exactly what I did. Once I found out that I'd passed all of the physical qualifications, I filled out the form and hit "Yes". I've never felt so good hitting a 'send' button in all my life.
I got some mail the other day. It was an envelope with four swabs and instructions enclosed. I had to swab the insides of my cheeks, place the swabs in a little thingy the sent as well, stick a "HAZARDOUS" sticker on it, and mail it off. It went out in the mail a couple of days ago, so as soon as the registry gets my envelope and enters my info into their system, I will be receiving an official Bone Marrow Donor card in the mail! \o/ I cannot even begin to describe how incredibly ecstatic I am about this. The thought that I could perhaps save someone's life?!
How could I not do it? If it were one of my kids or another loved one, you bet your ass I'd be praying for a donor. Well, here I am!
The thing is, though, that I might not even be called. They may never find a match for me. That's okay, I suppose. I mean, yes...I really, really want to help someone, but hey. If it's not meant to be, it's not meant to be.
There are basically two different ways I can become a donor. One is through blood...they pump you up with all sorts of meds that increase the something-or-other in your blood. After two weeks of being on these meds that make you feel like crap, they cycle your blood through a machine which takes the something-or-others out and then your blood is pumped back into your body. I've read tons of stuff about it, but still can't even remember the exact names for stuff.
The other type of bone marrow donation is surgical. They knock you out, and then remove bone marrow from the under-side of your pelvis...which they get by going through your lower back. On average (from what I've read), there will be three injection sites on each side...for an obvious total of six openings...but uber tiny openings. They say that YES, it will be pretty painful. It'll apparently feel like you've got a lower back ache from hell for about a week. Ummm...SO?! I think a week of excruciating pain is more than worth it to save someone's life!
Okay...gonna shuddup now. I'm just really, really excited!
I hope & pray that I'll be someone's match.
P.S.
I threw the "Bewbs" tag in there for all bewbie lovers to have some eye candy in the upper-right.

Yummy, Gift, Coffee, Friends
I opened my mailbox today just to find a big surprise!
Upon further examination, I realized that it was from Sweden!
Once I had it in my hands for about 20 seconds, I knew what it was.
I could smell it.
It was the most heavenly coffee I have had in a very long time...
...if not ever!
I rushed home, took some pics...

...and then brewed a big ol' pot of this yummy goodness.
OMG - It is SO good!!!
Seriously. I can't even express how good this stuff tastes.
So anyway, THANK YOU AGAIN, GAVIN!!!!
You're such a sweetie to have sent me this.
I can't tell you how much I appreciate it.
I tried looking this stuff up online, but ummm...no luck.
I am a dolt who only speaks English...and barely does that very well.
So anyway, maybe Gavin will read this and be able to link you.
Otherwise, you're outta luck! But I'm not.
I'm sitting here
guzzling the best cup o' coffee I've had in a VERY long time.

Lonnie, Thankful, Gift, Mario
As I posted a while back, I've been wanting a Mario 1up Mushroom thingy from ThinkGeek.com for such a long time. I tried to locate my old post about it, but my patience is limited.
Well, a couple weeks ago, I got an unexpected email from ThinkGeek.com saying that I'd won a gift certificate.
I still have no idea how or why I won since I didn't enter to win or anything, but hey...I'm not about to complain! I finally got the 1up shroom I've been dying for forever!

Here's a picture of it...

I have it sitting right here on my desk keeping me happy throughout the day. I wrote to the people at ThinkGeek.com and thanked them, but I honestly don't think they even cared...but I still felt the need to write.
To top that off, Lonnie needed to go to the mall this weekend to pick something up. Of course, I went with him. Like I've said before, prior to moving to the Portland area, I hated malls. Now, though, I love them. The malls around here are at least two stories high...usually three...and they're just flippin' awesome. Well, Lonnie suddenly made a quick left turn and led me into a nail salon.
I almost died right there on the spot! I always have a French Manicure, but I have always done it myself. Lonnie's always known how badly I've wanted a professional French Manicure, so he totally surprised me by taking me to have my nails done!
Can you believe that? I mean really...how sweet! He even sat in a chair right next to me and watched the whole process. It was so nice to not only have them done, but to have him right to my left being his sweet and supportive self.
I'm just so lucky to have him...I couldn't possibly be more in love with him than I am.

Anyway, the end result is awesome. I LOVE my nails. Lonnie paid a little extra to have what they call 'Solar Nails' done. When we asked what the difference is, they told us that the Solar Nails last like 2384 longer than the standard nails and also are MUCH stronger and won't chip and that sort of thing. I tend to be kinda hard on things, so Lonnie knew the Solar ones were the perfect ones for me.
Well, the whole process took about an hour and a half, but the end result is just so pretty.
Although I could barely understand the Asian woman who did my nails, she really knew her stuff! It's
almost like an art form. Seriously. That's a skill I would love to acquire. Lonnie said he thinks I'd probably be fairly good at it, so we might head over to Sally Beauty Supply to see if they have all the junk I'd need to try to do it on my own. I could practice on my Mom...she's always game for that sort of thing.
Anyway, I had a Hell of a time taking a picture of my own stupid hand for some reason, but here's how my nails look....

Those are my satin PJ bottoms in the background.
They're so comfy.
Please keep in mind that my hands don't usually look that meaty. I'm retaining what must be like 348 gallons of water.

I've had a pretty decent time with life lately. We're still struggling a lot here and there, but that's all surface stuff like finances, clients...etc. The stuff that really matters is going so well for us lately. I feel truly happy inside and I've not been able to say that for a very long time. It's not the toys or manicures...it's the feelings behind everything. Of course I appreciate and thank God for all of the fun and neat things I've got...but I thank Him even more for this feeling of inner peace I've gotten lately.

Thanks for taking the time to read my babbling! I hope you have a truly wonderful day and that you, too, will feel the inner peace I'm speaking of.

Music, Hell Yes!, Gift
I've been groovin' to this album for a couple years now, and I just gotta share it with those of you who dig Metal. The band is called
Job For A Cowboy. Stupid name, I agree...but the music flippin' PWNS!

The band is from Glendale, Arizona.
The group was founded by vocalist Jonny Davy, guitarists Ravi Bhadriraju and Andrew Arcurio, bassist Chad Staples, and drummer Andy Rysdam. In 2004, they created a MySpace profile, posted songs online, and began to connect with several worldwide fans. Later that year, Staples and Rysdam left Job for a Cowboy and were replaced by Brent Riggs and Elliott Sellers respectively as bassist and drummer. Traffic to the band's MySpace profile increased exponentially in late 2005, when the band released its first EP, entitled Doom.
Job for a Cowboy extensively promoted their debut EP, including three performances on the Sounds of the Underground tour. By the end of year, the band obtained professional management and signed a deal with Metal Blade Records, who reissued Doom with a bonus track. Also in 2006, Arcurio left Job for a Cowboy, and new guitarist Bobby Thompson joined the group. While Job for a Cowboy was writing material for their first full-length album, Sellers announced that he would be leaving the band to go back to school immediately after recording the album. In search of a permanent drummer, the band then posted a bulletin on Blabbermouth.net, which was seen by Jon "The Charn" Rice. He made a video of himself, posted it on YouTube, and sent the link to the band. Soon after, Rice was announced as the new drummer
So, anyway, now that you know the gist, I'm offering the album to you if you want to check it out.
They have more recent stuff, but I freakin' love this particular album. HERE IT IS FOR THE TAKING.

Opera, Hell Yes!, Gift, Nerdgasm
I got my Opera prizes in the mail today!
As I'm sure you can imagine, I was totally
bouncin' off the walls stoked when I
saw the package!
Here's me being overjoyed in my new t-shirt...

I thought I was only getting a t-shirt.
I was wrong! I got some tasty candy, too!
Too bad I'm on a diet...trying to lose my
flabbiness! I'll save it for a later date.
Here's a picture of the candy...

Music, Christmas, Gift, Friends
As some of you remember, last year around this time I offered you a gift. It's no biggie, but I want to offer it to you again…especially for those of you who didn't know me last year.
I've uploaded my favorite Christmas album and am offering it to you guys. If you don't like Metal music, you won't like this album, so don't bother. The album is called "A Brutal Christmas - The Season In Chaos". I normally wouldn't be okay with piracy like this (especially because I don't want to be spending my holiday in the slammer), but as you can see if you click that link, they aren't manufacturing the album anymore. I guess that makes it somewhat rare? Not sure.
Anyway, here's what the album cover looks like…

You can either click on the picture above
or right HERE to snag the album.
Enjoy!
