Project, Baking, Opera, Friends
It's time for Tab's and my Second Annual My.Opera Christmas Cookie Exchange AKA Cookies Around The World! Anyone who would like to participate is more than welcome! Tab and I will collect the names of everyone who wants to participate and then randomly choose a partner for you. Once the partner has been chosen, the cookie goodness begins!
Here's a set of rules that we've got so far. Like I said, this is only the second year, so it's not down to a Science quite yet.
Due to safety reasons, this is open to friends only.
No alcohol in the cookies. (sorry all of you boozers)
Respect any and all personal information that you are given. Do not repost or misuse personal information.
It will be up to each individual to exchange addresses with the participant they are exchanging cookies with.
You can bake as many cookies as you like, but we're asking for each person to bake one dozen minimum.
Please remember to inform your cookie exchange partner of any allergies.
If you aren't into baking, and would like to participate, it is acceptable for you to send your favorite pre-packaged cookies in a decorative tin. 
This is completely optional. If you aren't comfortable releasing your address, then you need not participate.
We'll be closing this on December 15, and on December 15 you will be notified who you are paired with. Make sure to sign up before the 15th if you're interested!We may be adding more rules and/or guidelines as time goes on. Time will tell. Either way, it's good fun and a really cool way to taste a treat from another part of the world.

I'm A Dork, Random Randomness, Opera, Twitter
I'm feeling kinda gabby, so this is the perfect time for some Randomness.
I'm thinking I want to create some badass backgrounds for the Opera Speed Dial contest thing, but I dunno. 
I hate failing...and if I failed the contest somehow, I'd feel like complete crap about myself. I realize that it's better to try & fail than not try at all, but I don't deal with failure well. :shrug: I dunno...I might open up Photoshop and see what happens. Time will tell. Anyone know the deadline?
I'm so tan right now! 
I love it. And not having tan lines is freakin' awesome. I keep catching myself by surprise when I walk by the full-length mirror. 
I'm so used to being pale!
It started raining today. My thoughts: "Shit. It starts." It rains about 8 months out of the freakin' year here, so when I start to see leaves falling from trees & all the other signs of Fall, I get bummed out. 
I just love summer & the sun so much...I hate seeing it go.
We have seriously got to get a vehicle soon. Having to borrow my Mom's car is a pain in the ass. Especially now that she's working. I'd be riding my bike or walking everywhere, but since my knee is so screwed up, the doctor said to stay off of it. 
We have to get a cheap-ass vehicle before my Mom has enough money saved up to move out. I can't imagine having to carry groceries that far on a bum knee.
I just made dinner for everyone, but I'm not going to eat. I'm not hungry for some reason. It'll probably hit me in a couple hours...when I'm in bed trying to wind down & get some sleep. I hate it when that happens.
What the Hell happened to Tina Turner? Is she still alive? If so, where is she? I'm not a fan or anything - I just heard her singing on TV a second ago and it made me wonder.
Fresh green beans freakin' rule! 
I used to loathe green beans when I was a kid, but I quite enjoy them now...especially when they're fresh. My Mom got some at the Farmer's Market over the weekend, so I cooked 'em up for a side with dinner last night. Soooooo good! 
My very awesome friend of about 6+ years, Jason, sent me a gift in the mail the other day! I'm going to do a separate blog post about it. THAT is how badass the gift is! I'll probably take care of the post tomorrow. 
Getting adjusted to a 'normal' sleeping schedule was proving to be a pain. My daughter started school back up on the 9th. Since then, I've been hitting the sheets around 22:00 and waking up at 06:30. That's plenty of sleep...if I could actually get to sleep in a timely fashion! The past couple of nights, I've been taking two Klonopin when I go to bed. Genius idea! I don't roll around and try to sleep anymore. I actually get real sleep! 
It's a terrific feeling. I must admit that I truly miss my late nights, though. I've always been a night owl, so to have to go to bed so early is killin' me! I just can't believe that the Klonopin is helping. Ambien didn't even help!
I think I might go hot tubbing tonight. My neck could use it. It's almost 21:00 now, so I'd better do it soon if I'm going to do it! I just asked Lonnie if he wanted to, and he said, "Maybe. It's a possibility." That means, "Yes, but I don't want to commit to anything." 
Lonnie got my site switched over to the new server earlier. It's not up & running yet...I have to do that part. I don't know that I want to, though. I mean, why bother? I was making a few bucks per month on Google ads, but other than that, it really had no purpose. I do most of my babbling here. If I could think of a unique & fun idea to do with the site rather than another blog, I would consider relaunching it. Until then, it'll stay down. :shrug:
Meh. I'm out of things to babble about. I'm too busy doing my thing over on Twitter. 
I'm an addict. Besides...I've gotta get ready to go tubbin'.

Opera, Random, Killing Time, Babble
Ya' see that number up there? That's apparently how many people have added me as a friend. This number annoys me for the following reasons:
• It makes me feel like a total bitch. Why? Well, apparently 639 people have added me, and I've not repaid the favor...nor do I have plans to.
• Half the time, it's an odd number. That drives me insane seeing an odd number on my freakin' page. 
• I've noticed that some people here on our lovely community are looking at the number as a cool factor. Like the bigger the number, the cooler they are. This is NOT MySpace, people. Get over it!
• I have no option to hide it. Unless, of course, Tamil can help me there. In which case, the point of this post will be moot! 
• Even if I were wanting to go through the list & add some people, I am nowhere near patient enough to do so. Screw that. Can't I mark all as read?!
• The numbers up there simply look out of place. No, I'm not doggin' on My.Opera. I'm simply stating my opinion that the number doesn't look right. It sticks out like a sore thumb.
• This has nothing to do with the number, but wouldn't it be cool if we could personalize the little dude next to the number? Yeah! I want mine to be a girl with a pink shirt & long hair.
I'm sure that if given more time,
I could come up with plenty more reasons to hate the number.
I'll stop now, though.

Nerds Rule!, Recommendation, Opera, Anniversary
Today Opera celebrates its 15th Anniversary!!! Can you believe it? 15 years today! 
I know you all want to show your appreciation for the best browser on the planet, right? 
RIGHT! So get your ass over to the Anniversary Blog, click the little button located on the sidebar to become a member, and post something super awesome for Opera...our baby! 
On a sidenote, I noticed that Jon, himself, added me to his list this morning. I very well might not make it through the day...what with the heart palpitations and whatnot. Just in case, I want you all to know that I love you and all of my belongings can be fought over once I'm dead. Only one thing - I want to be buried with all of my Opera t-shirts and other paraphernalia...and my Mario 1up mushroom...OH...and my NES. Other than that, fight it out with my family!
Just teasin' and you know it. GOSH!
Now go wish Opera a Happy Birthday!!! EDIT: I seriously may die for real! Opera just added me on Twitter!

SteelSeries, Opera, Badass, Gifts
THEY CAME!!! Yes, my Steelseries headphones that I won in the My.Opera contest arrived today. You can't even imagine how incredibly insane I went when I saw the box. I'm so glad it wasn't on video tape. That'd be truly embarrassing.
Anyway, as I promised everyone I would, I took a dorky-ass picture of myself wearing them. Honestly, I hate this picture. It just sucks, but whatever. Doesn't matter. It's not about me...It's about the freaking BADASS headphones!
If you look to my right, you'll see a while Opera card leaning against my monitor. Espen included it in the box to say thanks for participating and then he even told me I rock. Me? Rock? ... (BTW - He literally has the most freakin' badass handwriting I have ever seen in my entire life! )
Oh...you can also see my Mario 1up Mushroom (it now has dirt in it) that I got over to the right of me, and I'm wearing my d20 necklace. (If you don't know what a d20 die is, think of Dungeons & Dragons) I also got an Oragami Post-It Note pad...mostly for my daughter. ThinkGeek.com sent me a $30 gift certificate just for being a member. I was stunned. Come to find out that I couldn't gift my winnings to someone else, or Jenn would have $30 worth of awesome geekiness right now. 
Instead, I will have to save up.
I took better pictures of the ThinkGeek junk I got, but I think the pictures on the ThinkGeek site will suffice. How freakin' weird is it that I got the headphones AND the ThinkGeek stuff all on the same day?! Freaky-deaky if you ask me!
Anyway, I just want to thank the wonderful people at Steelseries and, of course, at Opera for being so good to me. I know it was a random drawing....although some poor losers claim it was all set up....but still. I'm more appreciative than I can even begin to express! We've been having a lot of financial issues as of late...as have most of the world, so to get something this high quality and badass as a gift...well, let's just say that it made my whole week...possibly my whole month.
The very best part about all this is that I can drown out Lonnie's shitty Techno 'music' with my own killer tunes. Right now I'm listening to Dethklok - "The Dethalbum"...and lemme tell ya'....these headphones are handling it better than ANY other pair of headphones I have ever worn.
If you click on that Dethklok link, you can 'borrow' the CD from me. I uploaded it to Rapidshare. I figured I need to give back somehow! WAIT! It was just brought to my attention that the badass dudes over at Steelseries loved my tweet so much that they posted it on their blog! I think I'm going to die very soon....and VERY happy!

I'm sorry to bombard you with all these blog entries lately.
Honestly...I am. I'm not just saying that.
I know that when you log on and see 2349783 new alerts with my name on them,
you probably go and then think to yourself,
"My God! Why won't she just slow down already?!"
I'm sorry...I just can't help it.
I gotta vent this stuff or my brain very well may explode!
Anyway, I just made this new creation in honor of the first day of Spring.
I know that I already posted the other one I made in honor of Spring...
