Opera, Friends
I finally decided to create a sticky post.
For those of you who are new to my blog and have put in a friend request with me, I must warn you: I won't notice your request. It's not a matter of me being snobby or not liking you. I simply have too many requests in order to weed through them and find yours. As a matter of fact, I NEVER even look at my friend requests. The few times I did in the past, all I saw was a bunch of horny old men lookin' for something I'm not willing to give them. Eww.
Although I've mentioned this issue in a few blog posts in the past, the requests just keep on pouring in. I'm totally not joking when I say I have too many requests to weed through. Need proof? FINE! CLICK HERE! See?!
Sooooo, if you want me to add you to my list, I ask the following:
Send me a message introducing yourself. I'm not going to add someone I've never spoken with in my life.
Do NOT get flirty with me. I am happily married and am in NO way looking for anyone to flirt or more with.
I see no humor in lurkers. If you want to be on my list, I expect you to interact on my blog. Lurkers will be removed and most likely blocked. So there.
Do not EVER - under NO circumstances post pictures of a gory nature. I will not tolerate such bullshittery and will block you immediately.
Be friendly to everyone. Even if you see someone you don't like commenting, be the bigger person and simply ignore them. My blog is not a place for your little bouts of drama. If you want that, go create an account on Vampire Freaks or some jive.
Bottom Line: I want my blog to be a happy, friendly place where we can all get along and not be douche bags. If you think you're capable of this, please feel free to send me a private message and let me know that you'd like to be added. I will say, though, that just because you request doesn't mean that I will accept the request.
I apologize if I sound ultra bitchy here. I'm actually a fairly friendly person with a decent sense of humor. I just want to make things clear ahead of time so that if you find your ass being blocked by me, you will know why.

Opera, Freebies, Yay!
My neato little phone screen cleaner came in the mail today!
The back side of it is made of this rubber substance that is somewhat sticky, but not sticky in the way that it'll leave any residue. What you do is, stick it to the back side of your phone, and when it comes time to clean the fingerprints off the face of the phone, you peel the little thingy off the back, clean the screen, and then replace it on back of the phone.
Thank you once again, Opera, for sending me a neato gift in the mail!

Random Randomness, Opera, Screenshot, Babble
I hope everyone had a fun Halloween. Living in an apartment on Halloween kinda sucks because no kids ever show up. I guess it's good because it saves us money on candy, but I like to see all the little kids dressed up.
Sunny was a vampire cheerleader this time around. She looked really cute. One of her friends had a sleep-over on Friday night, and then Sunny went trick-or-treating with a different friend & her Mom last night. She got about 20 pounds of candy. Literally.
I need new slippers so flippin' badly. The ones I currently have are totally worn out. The bottoms of them are totally trashed. Not only that, but Jameson put his big ol' feet in them & walked around - stretching the slippers out. They never fit right after that.
Saturday Night Live is on right now. They're doing some sort of special where they're spotlighting all of the women of SNL. Meh...I don't enjoy the show as much as I used to. Not sure why. Maybe it's the current cast that doesn't appeal to me.
So, Fall/Autumn is officially here.
All of the trees and plants everywhere are dying...again. I just hate it. I know that a lot of people love all of the colors of Fall..etc. Not me. All the colors do is remind me that the rain is here to stay. I never used to hate this season, but since we moved to the Pacific Northwest, I dread it.
I was standing outside on the balcony earlier when an airplane flew overhead. I looked up and suddenly felt envious of the people on the plane. I thought, "I wish I was in there." I guess I'm kinda depressed lately. I feel like I'd like to just pick up and go somewhere else. I need a break away from here.
Is everyone using the beta My Opera?! If not, why? You should...and if you come across any bugs, report them. That way you're helping to form the final build of My Opera!
Personally, I really like the new look & feel. I definitely think they're headed in the right direction!
By the way - I am not able to post in ANY shoutbox - including my own. I've seen a couple of you talking to me in shoutboxes, but I'm unable to respond. I spoke with Dustin, and he said that he's got the same problem, so at least I know it's not just me. I'm sure they'll have the issue fixed soon, but until then please just be patient with me. I see what you're saying, and am sorry I can't reply at this time.
I've been updating Twitter for a few different companies. It's really weird. Being able to see into someone else's Twitter account, I mean. I'd never ever abuse it, it's just different. I can't help but feel like I'm doing something wrong when I first log into their accounts!
It's a lot of fun, though. I actually enjoy speaking with their followers and corresponding back & forth.
If you haven't done it already, don't forget to flip your calendars over to November!
Hasn't this year just flown by? Where the heck did it go? On November 7th, we will need to set our clocks back one hour.
Arizona has the right idea. They're the only state in the union who doesn't observe Daylight Savings Time.
I really wish that people would drop me a line prior to requesting me as a friend on here. I currently have 872 friend requests. I will never be able to get through them all, so I'm positive that there are some really awesome people going unnoticed because I can't weed 'em out. Seems like it doesn't matter how many times or how I say it - people will click that request button & not even think to send a message.
Oh well.
HERE is a screenshot of my Speed Dial. I fixed it up last night...finally settled with the black-ish wood effect. I dig it. I change my Speed Dial, skin, and desktop theme about once per month. I think that's pretty much the perfect length of time to keep me from getting too sick of the same stuff everyday.
Okay, well...Bud just got on here, so I'm gonna go yap in his face.
Have a great week, everyone! Hopefully the shoutbox issue will be fixed soon so I can do run-by hugging again!

Random Randomness, Facebook, Opera, Friends
- I have a Pot Roast in the oven, so that gives me two hours to kill.
Now I can take my time & babble out some Randomness all I want.
- I got lots and lots of sleep last night. I have no idea what was so different about last night, but I'm thrilled to have actually gotten as much uninterrupted sleep as I did. I've really been battling insomnia a lot lately, so to sleep so deeply for so long was incredibly refreshing!
- I'm still taking two Cranberry Supplements three times per day. I'm not sure if it's the Vitamin C in them, or what, but they really give me a boost of energy. It's nothing incredibly noticeable, but I definitely do notice an increase in my energy level. No matter what the reason is, I'm going to continue taking Cranberry supplements forever.
- I CANNOT forget to call my Dad tomorrow! I keep spacing it out...'til it's too late in the day to call him. I don't exactly want to call him at 11PM and have him think something's wrong. I'll write myself a little Post-It reminder...one sec.
Ook...done! I stuck it to the upper left-hand corner of my monitor. Now hopefully I won't forget to look at it!

- Lonnie's poor kitty, Grimace, has a cold.
She keeps sneezing like crazy. She doesn't feel hot or anything, and she's still eating and drinking. Lonnie said that if she gets worse or doesn't get better soon, he's going to take her to the Vet. I really hope she gets better. Not only for her sake, but the last thing we need is another flippin' bill!
- My hair has been going through a pretty major growth spurt lately. It wasn't that long ago that it was to my lower back. Now it's down to my waist. I could tuck it in my jeans if I wanted to.
I won't do that, but sheesh. I wonder what the heck's going on. I'm certainly not complaining as I love long hair, but it makes me wonder what the deal is.
-
Holy crap!
What if it's the Cranberry supplements helping the growth of my hair?!

- I've come to the conclusion that Arizona freakin' rules!
I know a few people who live there, and each one of them is really cool. Not only that, but it's the only state in the Union that doesn't partake in the whole Daylight Savings Time shenanigans. They never have to spring forward or fall back! My brother lives in AZ, and he says he likes it there a lot. My Dad bought a house in AZ last year and will be moving into it this July. PLUS, it's close to Texas, and I have lots and lots of friends in Texas! Jenn, Lenora/Rick/Ray/Rein/Jack, Linda, Jose, ...who am I forgetting? I know there are a few more friends who live there, but my brain isn't cooperating right now. Imagine that!
- So, are any of you going to try out for the internship at
pera in Oslo? If I were single and had no kids, I probably would. I'd rather have my family, though, so I'm perfectly happy.
I wish anyone who's going to try out luck! I hope it will be someone who blogs and takes pictures a lot so we can kinda get the inside scoop!

- I had to go pee earlier (we all do it, so shuddup) so I went into the bathroom to do just that. I was so flippin' shocked, amazed, and proud when I discovered that I could slide my jeans down without unbuttoning them!
These are the same jeans I wasn't even able to get buttoned because of my flab about a year ago! All of my clothes are getting all baggy on me now. I know I've kinda yo-yo'd here and there, but this time I've actually lost a hefty amount of weight. I'm SO close to my goal weight and I'm really freakin' stoked about it!
- Although it's still rainy and dreary here in the Pacific NW, I know that the nice weather is just around the corner, so I've been thinking of redoing my hair. During the winter months, I tend to dye it my natural color or maybe even a shade darker. My natural color is pretty dark brown. Last summer, I added some lighter highlights and I really liked it. It was a fun change for the summer months. I'm thinking I'll do that again this summer. Probably the next time I dye my hair...which should actually be any day now. If it turns out decently, I'll take pics & show you.

- I just checked on the Pot Roast. I'd say it has about 45 minutes left. That's plenty of time to wrap this up and prepare some steamed broccoli and biscuits.
- For those of you who are on Facebook, haven't added me yet, and would like to, HERE is my profile. If you're somebody I don't really know, you might want to let me know that you saw my URL on My
pera, or I'm bound to deny your request.

- My Mom and I have been doing a bit of hanging out together lately. I must say...I've really been enjoying her company so much. She's one of the few people on the planet who I can be myself around, and she doesn't get embarrassed or pissed off. She loves me AND my goofiness, and that feels great. Of course, I love her unconditionally as well. We went to Buffalo Exchange in Portland last weekend. It's a pretty neato place. There were lots and lots of people in there, though, and I hate that. I would like to go back when it's not busy. Crowds & I don't mesh well.

- Oh noes! Lonnie just fell asleep while watching TV on the couch.
I really don't want to have to wake him up when dinner's ready.
Waking people up is something I pretty much dread. I mean, who takes being woken up well? I know I sure as Hell don't! I don't envy anyone who wakes me up!
- Alrighty, I'd better go steam some broccoli & make some biscuits now. This week is just flyin' by, huh? It is for me, anyway. I hope you all enjoy the rest of the week & weekend.
Adios for now, mi amigos.

My Blog, Opera, Update, Friends
I'm starting to feel really badly about having so many people with requests to be my friend. I've added a few people here and there, so now I'm down to 705 requests, but that's still a lot of people who have requested me and I've basically just been ignoring them. I don't know what the heck else to do since there's no way in Hell I'm about to sit here and send out 705 private messages.
Hopefully with the new disclaimer, people will read my little paragraph on my About page & contact me to let me know they've requested me. That way I won't feel guilty anymore...nor will I look snobby for not acknowledging them.
Here is said disclaimer:

Okay, now it's time for me to go hit the sheets. G'nighty night, everyone.
