99 Problems But The Mud Ain't One - Glasto Come-Down.

Anyways, in the lazy writing that characterises this thing, here are my Glastonbury highlights:
- The Enemy ( yes really)
- Alabama 3
- Ben Folds (esp. when he got Amanda Palmer on stage. She also has the most rock eyebrows. EVER.)
- The Young Knives' acoustic set in the Guardian tent
- Old naturist guy wandering round
- The Verve
- The Futureheads
- Mark Ronson
- Lily Allen's pink hair
- Meeting Mr. Eavis
- The first ten minutes of Jay-Z
- Elbow (God bless you Mr. Garvey)
- The enthusiasm of Pidgeon Detectives' lead singer. Jesus loves a tryer.
- Neil Diamond. He might be my dad.
- Suzanne Vega - after traipsing half a mile to see her and missing Leonard Cohen, her saying she'd rather be at Leonard Cohen...
- Jim-Bob of Carter USM - it's like being 11 again and dancing round to MTV Europe
- Gazebos.
And the low points:
- Festival loos. Not for the faint hearted.
- Millet's charging £4 for "free" biodegradable pegs.
- The "new" John Peel tent - it was too fucking big. This is Somerset. Not LA.
- Not managing to see "Godfather of Techno" Derrick May.
- Vampire Weekend - I. Just. Don't. Get. It.
I'd follow this with some witty observation or other bollocks, but seriously, I'm still a shell of my former self. But I will mention that it is a shame that more hasn't been made of the The Futureheads set - they played a blinder. (Plus if you got to see the highlights on TV, me and The Dok can be seen spaz dancing in the audience.
) Pics - taken by moi. That may be why they are a bit shit. Sorry about that.
