Atomic Hooligan
The new Ladytron is quite good. But then, that's not that big a surprise is it? If you dig the
vibe that they're about (which is kinda what you'd imagine some really cool dark electro soundtrack from some cold-war spy film to sound like, only with better haircuts and being a
little bit pretentious..) then you will dig the new album Velocifero. Thankfully it is a lot more consistant than 2005's Witching Hour, which although had a couple of gems ("Destroy Everything You Touch" springing to mind) but it has a hell of a lot of filler too. This is a darker Witching Hour with more tunes and frankly, a bit more cold-war soundtrack. I fucking love it. Personal faves are probably
Kletva, Runaway and free-download track, Black Cat. It's released in June, but seeing it's leaked all over the internet they may wanna consider bringing that release date forward. Or at least hire that Web Sherif fella that The Futureheads have getting their stuff taken down. The Sherif is on the fucking ball. Check out Ladytron's
Myspazz for more info and downloads etc.
I still haven't got round to checking out Brazilian Girls, so bite me. However I have been checking out
Atomic Hooligan. They're a UK dj "collective" (Ooh-er) that fuse hip hop, electro and they make music you can move your ass to. Check out the mp3 of
I Don't Care.
Over and out x
