I Wanna See The Sights I Wanna Hear The Songs..About Human Rights And About Human Wrongs

,

So the day job sent me over to the Uk for a week to work my magic and I managed to wangle a quick night out in Manchester with some of my foxy people. So there I am at some photographer's flat in the Northern Quarter, slightly tipsy, casually slumped all over a comfy sofa surrounded by kids with amazing 1980s basketball sneakers on, when this song comes on. I'm in love. It was "Ending of An Era" by Midnight Juggernauts.
For those of you that haven't heard of them, they're Austrailian and are a bit indie, bit electro, similarish vibe to Klaxons, Cut Copy etc. I've listened to the album Dystopia a fair few times now and it's wicked. Seriously, you need this album. But in the meanwhile, check out (for a short time only) Ending Of An Era by Midnight Juggernauts**here**

Simian seem to have been going for ages. I've never really been sure what to make of them as a band. Their remix-outfit 'Simian's Mobile Disco' has always been pretty cool, but the actual band Simian has been a bit more difficult to decide upon. La breeze was an okay song (and quite famous in the Uk thanks to a Peugeot ad) but "We Are Your Friends" was overplayed to death. I'm not saying it's bad, but it seemed for a while that every electro night you went to there would always be some overzealous Dj playing yet another remix of this, closely followed by some pill-monster trying to hug you. 'Cause we're all friends, yeah? Urgh *wink* Anyways, a couple of Simian tracks came up on ipod shuffle recently and I'm beginning to like them again. Maybe you will too. Check out "The Way I live" by Simian **here**
