Component cables have seprate audio video cable. Composite have a single cable which consists audio+video cable. HDMI cable attaches any external device which have HDMI port like game console ,bluray dvd ,satellite settop box to HD tv for high definition viewing

Do you know how 480i is better than 480p?
Also is a standard tv a ntsc,what's a NTSC?

NTSC is color tv broadcast standard which is used in America ,Korea ,Japan ,Taiwan ,Phillipines etc. It is low standard color system becoz of low quality colors. More popularly known as Never Twice The Same Color becoz colors are not constant. Other color system standards like PAL and SECAM are technically better.

480 p does 480lines framerate in 1/60th of a second
480i does 480 lines framerate in 1/30th of a second
resolution is verticle
480i vertical lines start from up and down in odd and even rows(I think)
and the other one is color quality, one has more color emphasis than the other
so so far is framerate and color quality
might be wrong
but all ive seen are fights clashing over each other that 'this is the difference. No this is it' and on
also I don't know what freshrate(I think is called) is.
and for composite video cable users,if using s-video cable, does it do any improvement, can you tell visually?
I have a component cable,but don't have a hd tv
I got a Xbox 360,and a Wii,also my brother has a ps3
but we got tube tvs
