How to use FEAR to your advantage

I repeat: fear is everywhere. You can’t run from it, you can’t avoid it, and you sure as heck can’t get rid of it.
So that means that there’s no hope and we should all just surrender right? Not exactly. The point of this is not to push you into an irreversible depression. The reason I’m writing this is because we’re all afraid and because of that very fact, we can all help each other overcome that fear.
The first step to getting over it is to admit you have a problem
You ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO define your fears. That’s the only way to defeat them. That big, scary monster would seem a lot less intimidating if only you knew its huge weakness that would let you put it to rest with ease. You must know what you’re dealing with if you ever want any chance of victory.
Don’t let fear paralyze you
What would you do if you found yourself face to face with that ugly monster I mentioned and he’s about ready to bite your head off with his sharp teeth? Odds are you’d freeze. Or at least I know I would. But as long as you’re just sitting there, you’re practically inviting fear to come and take you over. If that entrepreneur decided not to start that business, he let fear knock him down before he even started. You need to know that you CAN overcome your fears.
You’re not alone
Everyone is afraid. Use that to your advantage; don’t close yourself off from people. Those people are the very ones who can help you get over what ever fear it is that you have.
Thrive off your fear
You’re never gonna be able to get rid of fear, so why not use it to help you? Use that feeling of fear in the pit of your stomach and let it fuel you. Let the fear of failure propel you to be the best you can be. Take that fear and control it. Get out there and thrive off the competition. You can be the biggest, fastest, strongest, but you have to want it the most.
This blog is in a way my attempt to conquer my fears. Yes, there are a LOT of people out there that are better than me. But I’m not gonna let that knock me down. I’m gonna take it and use it to be the best. Why? Because it’s fear that motivates me, that makes me want to be the best there is.
I’m not advocating everyone be afraid or fear as a prime motivation. But if it’s there, why not use it?
