Happy on digital?

, ,

After two years being almost strictly on digital cameras I am having some sort of a an emotional phase. I miss film!!! :frown: I bought a couple of rolls of really high-end film and rediscovered the magic of it. Better than digital? You be the judge.

sometimes a digital camera gets my photo showing strangely in colors.......
but I can't help, I'm not a professional photographer, and I'm too lazy to use a non-digital camera. XD

colors.............

Not only colors. Halftones, details and resolution are better on a film.

As in everything else (CD vs LP and magnetic tape, tube and plasma TV vs LCD), tape vs digital is much better (who understands). All digital technologies simplifies the processing and reduces costs, at the cost of quality.

I came to photography a bit late for film, basically never shot a roll (forget about cheap P&S cameras). But the results, the colours, transitions, grain,... is su much more pleasing then from the digital "successor".

Majbe I should go to basement and blow some dust from EOS 1000 (not the best, but it takes rolls) :)

To pomeni, podoben dobro osvetljenemu in dobro razvitemu filmu.

Ignoring the metering, the resolution of the analogue is so much higher. And it is evident in the picture above.

The image from the digital camera seems a bit 'wider'. Why is that? As far as I know the EOS 1D uses a full size sensor. Why then, does the image arrear a little 'zoomed out'?

Am, I did this from hand, I should use a tripod next time. The framing isn't exactly the same, but the view angle is.
