The symptoms of swine flu (H1N1) is generally light, but the effort to prevent the risk of pandemic poses many risks.
The panic has broken out worldwide. It has far surpassed that of 2004, when was diagnosed that the bird flu (H5N1) had caused the death of 60% of those infected. Fortunately, the flu that proved that it was not so contagious (as now) in humans.
Things to swine flu (H1N1) is a little different and has killed humans in 1100 (as last week) who are ill but under extremely difficult conditions - according to official figures.
The authors of the Lancet medical journal say that the rush to approve vaccines in Europe, allows pharmaceutical industry to prepare four «false vaccines» based on «pseudo-virus». According to the acceleration of procedures (due to a pandemic) will not require extensive safety studies …
As the german newspaper «Der Spiegel» notes, this means that of the 25 million German citizens who will be vaccinated, there is likely to be about 250,000 of them that will suffer severe organic reactions, which could not have been foreseen, given the speed of security checks.
Clinical trials of the vaccine have been done only in adults rather than children and pregnant women who are particularly at risk from the virus H1N1.
