Indeed Aziz, and this would then be the serious side of crime.

Aziz, my dear, I would say that a person should be cautious yes, walking alone is never a good idea here, but we go for walks with company all the time.

It is true that SA is the crime capital of the world and there is good reason for that terrible title that was earned with the blood of many innocents.

Just last week an old lady stopped at a crossing and was accosted by 4 men dressed in police uniforms, the one had a assault rifle.

The whole incident was recorded on video by a couple on the other side of the crossing, with their cellphone.

They ordered the old lady out of the car and and beat her.....suddenly one of them noticed the people were taking a video of them. They turned and shot at the couple in the car who also had their two children with them.

Fortunately they missed all the people in the car. They then sped off and are still on the loose.

Forensics are now analyzing the video to see if they can get it clearer.

After six in the evening is a myth. These things happen throughout the day when the opportunity arises. "At the wrong place at the wrong time"

Aziz, crimes are committed all over the world, just not to the extent that it is here. There are problems to be sorted out in a lot of the departments starting with the justice system and corruption most of all.

Thank you Dave!!! Make no mistake....although crime is out of hand here, it is a wonderful country to visit and and the people are lovely to know. When you have made a friend in SA you have a friend for life.

We are not know for violence on tourist. Unemployment and a disfunctional justice system is our biggest problem.

The last time we had a insident of tourist violence was when Anni Diwali was murdered on their honeymoon here, and it turned out that it was her husband that paid people to do that.

I guess he thought that since we have such a huge backlog of processed crime, he would get away with it. Now we are struggling to get him extradited to stand trial.

Yes Kent, my time is limited, I try to answer my messages when I am in my office and then I run to Rob's office and I do not sign into Opera from there as it can be quite a madhouse there.

This will hopefully not continue for long because I am just waiting for the transfer papers putting the business in my name and then I will sell it. I had quite a few good offers already. I am still not sure if I wish to keep a few shares for myself though.
