Most excellent tennage fiction! I shouldn't really get so involved with this king of thing, but this one pulled me along and i soon found I couldn't put it down.

Book Three of The High Druid od Shannara, the trouble is I read the first two a very long time ago, so I only half remembered the plot, plus I think I've out-grown Terry Brooks. This is a bit of a sad realisation for me, as way back in the days when I had a school summer holiday The Sword of Shannara was one of the first fantasy novels I ever read, and it opened the door to a whole load of other stuff that has pleased me enormously over the years.
It's not bad, it's just that it really is out-classed by thinks like the Farseer Trilogy.
