Watermelon, by Marian Keyes.

Chicklit.
Not my normal read.
Borrowed from a colleague.
Not bad really. You can actually hear Marian Keyes writing in an Irish accent, no mean feat I can tell you! Very funny, heartwarming and utterly undemanding. I finished this (613 pages) in three days without once having to put my brain in gear. It was a bit of a holiday really.
Keyes really understands women. I'm ashamed to say that the ups and downs of Clare's abandonment by her husband stirred up rather a lot of things that were best left neglected, if not actually forgotten, even if the shoe was on the other foot in my case. I don't know if Keyes is divorced, but anyone who has been on the sharp end of a broken-down marriage will tell you that this is a novel that hits the mark.
Good book.
Bad timing.
Never mind eh?
