A secret I share with the world...

Pluto Scorpio generation; know it, share it, state it, change it

Blogging, I declare death!

What's happened? After only being on Opera for 2 years, I have seen its slow and painful death. As I sit here I have noticed less and less people! There are small amounts of uninteresting blogs, research and poems to look at. I have realized that it is up to people to share their information on the web, not share their lives.

Unless your a top secret agent with near death encounters, then you have something to blog about; something people might be interested in. So from here on out, I am stopping all blogging! Death to Opera and my account.

Things can be interesting, sometimes you can stumble upon something like my blog. I at least talk about interesting things! I share songs for you to get involved with and listen to! Why can't anyone do the same, and share for once?! It really angers me! Do some research, look out there and bring in something people might use! Blogging should be interesting, it should be USEFUL. When I say Useful, I mean post something that will entertain, something that people can learn and use everyday.

The problem could be a range of anything. All I know is that there are far too little people blogging now, and that a lack of this can cause a range of horror!

you're right...don't know where they are all gone...maybe it's the word that changes...

Class10a1 2. July 2009, 00:41

Ummm... technically, the number of people joining MyOpera is rising...... Oh well, though some of them seem sorta boring, some other are really really really cool.

SqueakeyCat 2. July 2009, 01:25

just take the time to explore.

there are always new people joining My Opera Community.

maybe someone new might have what you are looking for.

don't give up just because you can't find what you are looking for in one spot.

if you really read some of the poetry that people post, then you would notice that a lot of peoples poetry is in fact something to do with everyday life.

even my own poetry is about daily life. if i couldn't write down my feelings into myu poetry, i would have no outlet for them.

think about it before you make the decision to leave here, please.

Thats the thing. There will always be birth, but it depends on the death rates. And besides, people tend to have a narrow range of blogging. I look for information and that kind of thing, its almost like people only blog by taking a viewpoint and judging what they see.

I will leave this thing.

Smallfry918 4. July 2009, 01:04

NO! I have been a fan of opera for a while, and I just got an opera blog, dont die!

Smallfry918 4. July 2009, 01:10

And also, I only got my blog because all my family has move off away from ho,me, and the only realy way we can tell each other about stuff is by have blogs. So I guess it is only really intresting to the people who mine is directed to.

Noah503935 4. July 2009, 01:16

Yes, it depends on who it is directed to. I agree.

SqueakeyCat 4. July 2009, 04:34

not every post is for everyone. if that were the case, then blogging would definitely be a bore.

danaleks 10. July 2009, 16:45

It deepens on your interests, doesn’t it? Some might find many blogs that interest them while others only find a handful. You should subscribe to the ones you do like, and maybe care a little less about the ones you don’t.

But unfortunately, the good blogs often drown in the huge mess of uninteresting and low quality posts.

SqueakeyCat 10. July 2009, 17:14

exactly, dana

castus2 24. July 2009, 04:36

hi,on the 1st of July you posted this blog, you say that you are stopping blogging, one week later ,you post another blog,,,confused,
I have found that blogs tend to go off on a tangent after a few comments, and users start to comment on topics that have no bearing on the original blog, this is the nature of blogs i expect, but annoying nonetheless.
Some users have page after page on their friends list, one user has 31 pages of friends, over 1000 friends, how absurd is that?Perhaps you could consider what i do,and that is,if a user on your friends list does not reply to your comments after a few weeks, then delete them, this keeps your friends list manageable, and then you have only friends that are willing to chat with you.Happy blogging

:D

SqueakeyCat 24. July 2009, 05:15

i agree

castus2 24. July 2009, 05:59

thank you,my effort was worth while then :D

Noah503935 24. July 2009, 06:40

Your welcome! Anytime.

castus2 24. July 2009, 06:47

ok,thank you,may i suggest a bit of fun on your blogs from time to time, just to lighten the topics, just a thought, hope you don't mind

Noah503935 24. July 2009, 06:51

Sure. Anything. I have nothing to do on my summer break. So please, suggest away!

castus2 24. July 2009, 06:55

whatever makes you smile,or see the funny side of things, post it ,you may get some users to smile along with you,,,good luck :D

SqueakeyCat 24. July 2009, 07:15

another thing you might try, is going through my blog and picking out "tests" or "quizzes" that i have on there, take them yourself and post the results not only on my post as a comment, but as a new post here.

that is one of the ways that i upped my watchers and friends.

people would be looking for different things, and they would get my blog posts in their searches.

you would be surprised at how many of Opera's bloggers come up when someone types the word "sex" in a search.

believe me, even if i don't use the word for a tag, i get brought up quite often. A lot of times, its just by a smartass comment that i have made and used the word.

there are a lot of different things you can put in your posts to get more users.

try also adding different tag names for the same word.

for instance HAPPY could also ne tagged as smile, fun, exciting, etc.

thats my 2 cents worth.

hope you like the ideas.

and castus2 has a few good ideas there as well.

SqueakeyCat 24. July 2009, 07:18

also, go searching through the community for bloggers that interedt you, and subscribe to their blogs, along with those of your friends.

the more you comment on their blogs, the more likely you are to see them commenting on yours as well.

castus2 24. July 2009, 07:19

thank you,,i think that if you can make users smile ,or even laugh out loud, then you are half way to making a good friend,i have my serious side when the situation calls for it,but in the main,i like to have fun :D

SqueakeyCat 24. July 2009, 07:24

then you will enjoy my blog. there is a lot of fun, sad, serious, mellow, irate, mad, disgusted, etc. posts there....

there is usuallu something for everyone there...lol

castus2 24. July 2009, 07:25

i will take a look ,thank you,may even comment

SqueakeyCat 24. July 2009, 07:29

you will have to excuse my spelling errors here, i am commenting from my phone until my computer gets here in about 2 weeks.

i do all my new posts from the library computer until then...lol

castus2 24. July 2009, 07:46

hi,you have so much on your blogs, and many photos,i have made just a few comments for now,you have a very good diverse site,i will revisit at a later time, thank you. :D

SqueakeyCat 24. July 2009, 08:07
