Blogging, I declare death!
Wednesday, 1. July 2009, 23:34:01
What's happened? After only being on Opera for 2 years, I have seen its slow and painful death. As I sit here I have noticed less and less people! There are small amounts of uninteresting blogs, research and poems to look at. I have realized that it is up to people to share their information on the web, not share their lives.Unless your a top secret agent with near death encounters, then you have something to blog about; something people might be interested in. So from here on out, I am stopping all blogging! Death to Opera and my account.
Things can be interesting, sometimes you can stumble upon something like my blog. I at least talk about interesting things! I share songs for you to get involved with and listen to! Why can't anyone do the same, and share for once?! It really angers me! Do some research, look out there and bring in something people might use! Blogging should be interesting, it should be USEFUL. When I say Useful, I mean post something that will entertain, something that people can learn and use everyday.
The problem could be a range of anything. All I know is that there are far too little people blogging now, and that a lack of this can cause a range of horror!

there are always new people joining My Opera Community.
maybe someone new might have what you are looking for.
don't give up just because you can't find what you are looking for in one spot.
if you really read some of the poetry that people post, then you would notice that a lot of peoples poetry is in fact something to do with everyday life.
even my own poetry is about daily life. if i couldn't write down my feelings into myu poetry, i would have no outlet for them.
think about it before you make the decision to leave here, please.

But unfortunately, the good blogs often drown in the huge mess of uninteresting and low quality posts.

I have found that blogs tend to go off on a tangent after a few comments, and users start to comment on topics that have no bearing on the original blog, this is the nature of blogs i expect, but annoying nonetheless.
Some users have page after page on their friends list, one user has 31 pages of friends, over 1000 friends, how absurd is that?Perhaps you could consider what i do,and that is,if a user on your friends list does not reply to your comments after a few weeks, then delete them, this keeps your friends list manageable, and then you have only friends that are willing to chat with you.Happy blogging

that is one of the ways that i upped my watchers and friends.
people would be looking for different things, and they would get my blog posts in their searches.
you would be surprised at how many of Opera's bloggers come up when someone types the word "sex" in a search.
believe me, even if i don't use the word for a tag, i get brought up quite often. A lot of times, its just by a smartass comment that i have made and used the word.
there are a lot of different things you can put in your posts to get more users.
try also adding different tag names for the same word.
for instance HAPPY could also ne tagged as smile, fun, exciting, etc.
thats my 2 cents worth.
hope you like the ideas.
and castus2 has a few good ideas there as well.

the more you comment on their blogs, the more likely you are to see them commenting on yours as well.

You are going to stop blogging because there aren't enough blogs? Seems counter-productive doesn't it?
