Hedgehogs- Feeding Time 2

Today was very busy, with 2 Hedgehogs to look after, one with a Strimmer Injury and the other needing to put on weight, extra food is needed.

Both Hedgehogs curled up, the one with the strimmer injury is right, he is much darker on the spikes, and the skiny one on the left, but he is uncurled abit, giving the impression he is bigger, but he is not.

Both Hedgehogs make use of the water bowl that is out. The one with the strimmer Injury in curled up.

Skiny Hedgehog has a drink from the water bowl.

Cat food available, Hedgehog with strimmer Injury on the upper left.

Simular Picture.

Me with my hand around the Hedgehog with the strimmer injury.

Strimmer Injury Hedgehog uncurling next to the water bowl.

Your not ment to crawl over the food! Your ment to eat it!

Taking a drink if water. This is the skinyer Hedgehog.

Food feast. Eating the Cat meat and having a drink on the patio.

Same Hedgehog curled up in my hand.

Same Hedgehog taking a walk to the Box, the box was hand made by me a year ago out of recycled wood, I have made a much bigger better one since.

Entering the Box. A blue towel is in there, but its normally hay.

Inside the box. I sqeezed my phone in there to take this.

Coming out of the Box, one of my favourite pictures!

ATTENTION!
IF YOU ARE A PERSON WHO LIKES TO USE STRIMMERS THEN READ HERE, IF YOU ARE A PERSON WHO WANTS TO HELP, READ HERE. READ ALL OF THIS AND REALISE THAT THE USE OF STRIMMERS AND LAWN-MOWERS ARE HAVING A DEVISTATING AFFECT ON HEDGEHOGS!
A Hedgehog, among millions of others, has been found in my front garden to have strimmer injurys, it is not the first and unfortunately not the last. This Hedgehog had a large area of spikes blunt on its back, many totally missing, it may have survived the strimmer, but what about foxes? What will stop them now that they can get their teeth around the poor thing?
Many Hedgehogs die in severe pain, some with half their body missing.
This Hedgehog was luckly found by me, and my thanks goes to the kind people who do help these Hedgehog, who care about them.
Most Strimmer users may be oblivious to the fact that they are killing and injuring Hedgehog, and just because you don't use a Strimmer or lawn-mower, it does not mean you can't help. So now that you are aware of the devistating affect it has on Hedgehogs' lives, why not spread the message of the Dangers to Hedgehogs?

CHECK LONG GRASS WITH A HAND OR FOOT BEFORE YOU STRIM!
YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE TOO!

PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD TO EVERY FORUN E.T.C TO HELP.
Thankyou!

Identifying House Mice- Signs & Tracks

Here is a few details on identifying House Mouse signs and tracks, it will give you a clearer picture as to wether you have these mice visiting...

If you have a small hole at the side of your shed, it is most likely to be a House Mouse. This is a picture of a hole at the side of our shed, my boot is in the picture to give an indication as to how big/small the hole should be, I'm size 5, if its bigger then it could be a Rat.

A close up of the House Mouse hole. Deeper in the hole their will be a complex maze of tunnels. The Hole is inside our Bird Aviary, our shed leeds onto in and the Mice have found the Bird seed a yummy treat. They will often have a home anywhere near a food sauce.
