Solution: Make the citizen too big to fail!

Since most of the problems we face are self-inflicted, the solution to these problems involves a change to ourselves. This change takes the form of:

  • Greater empathy
  • Broader perspective
  • Stronger attitudes
  • Deeper insight
  • Greater knowledge
  • Finer perception
  • Better imagination
  • Sharper articulation

The solution offered by the following articles is not a magic bullet, magic pill or magic wand. The technology we explore here is the technology of the spirit. Changing the world goes hand in hand with changing ourselves.

If we cannot make government smaller, then we must make the citizen larger. We must become large enough to tolerate one another and dialogue with one another, large enough to see over the artificial barriers we use to keep ourselves divided and conquered, large enough to want to cooperate and find common ground, large enough to rise above our complacency and despair and ossification, large enough to restore our connection with the infinite and bring that boundless joy to bear on our struggle.
