Leviathan - Massive Conspiracy Against All Life

It seems May is the month when we'll get to hear the new Leviathan album, at least judging from the date stated in Displeased's preorder entry for the album.

This might very well be the final album from Leviathan, as rumours have it that Wrest is dissolving Leviathan (hehe) to concentrate on Lurker of Chalice. The Nachtmystium split and one more split will be released before that happens, though. A real bummer if this turns out to be true. Thanks to Jay for the above Leviathan news.

Southern Lord made a second pressing of the "The Blind Wound" EP, this time on silver coloured vinyl. The new freebie/promo CD compilation from Southern Lord, "V/A - Within The Church of Thee Overlords", features Leviathan's cover of the Black Flag classic "My War". The recording is probably taken from the "The Tenth Sublevel of Suicide" demo.

Nice to see you back. Hell, Lurker of Chalice is mighty interesting, but not as far as challenging as Leviathan. I guess it´s the songwriting-skills coming full surface for Wrest? The last Leviathan-thingy I´ve heard (the split with Sapthuran) is extremely perfected in the melodious sence. Maybe he´s going for it full fleshed? Maybe it is nothing more to gain for him being fast and noisy (and in my eyes, almost perfect), maybe he´s going to polish the kind of unpolished Chalice? On one hand I don´t give a shit, the man´s close to a genius and he can do whatever he wants. On the other: Fuck, who´s gonna take over? Hope the new stuff matches the brilliance of Sapthuran/Leviathan Split.
