Monday, 17. September 2007, 16:38:56
A closer inspection of the Dis-order webshop reveals that Xasthur's new albumn "Defective Epitaph" is also set for a September 28th release. I believe this is a co-release (European/American) between Hydrahead and Displeased. As mentioned here before, this album will feature acoustic drums for the first time as well as a cello.Tracklist:New masterpiece of loathing miserable bleakness !

there's a 2xCD version being released by Daymare in Japan. the 2nd disc contains about 30min of unreleased (and never to be released other than on this Japanese release...so they say) material. they're taking orders for it now and it's about $32ppd (to the US). it ships on 09.21.2007.

Just picked it up...kinda weird and spooky...less riff-oriented than Subliminal, I think..

I concur - to me SG was the razor blade you slit your wrist with, while DE is your reflection in the mirror when you feel like crap. Good stuff though, again.

Ummm...the drums sound just...piss poor? In both sound and instrument skill. If it's this or drum machine I'll take drum machine. I understand some BM has the whole 'high school demo' feel on purpose, but this is pretty hard to swallow at points.
