Full Moon Productions have published a sample track from the upcoming Nightbringer album "Death and the Black Work". The album will be out soon on CD and vinyl. Velvet Cacoon "Atropine" - out soon

, , ,

Velvet Cacoon surprise us once again, and announce that their new album "Atropine" will be out in October / November on Fullmoon Productions. Go there to hear a sample of the "Funeral Noire" track from this album, as well as a sample from the unreleased "P aa opal Poere Pr. 33" album.

Atropine extracts of henbane were used by Cleopatra to dilate her pupils to appear more alluring. In the Renaissance, women used the juice of belladonna berries to enlargen the pupils of their eyes for cosmetic reasons (in Italian, "bella donna" translates to "beautiful lady"). Later on, belladonna was used by witches before flight. The juice of the berries was applied to their vaginas resulting in massive and sometimes lethal dosages of atropine. In this state of unbelievable hallucinatory incoherence, they believed they were actually flying on their brooms and as they spoke aloud their spells the results unfolded right before their eyes.

This album was carefully created over a four year period under the closely supervised influence of mandrake, hemlock, datura stramonium, henbane, belladonna and jesaconitine isolate. Most of the drone library was originally recorded to DAT and buried in the ground for two years before reviving them for use.

, ,

Full Moon Productions will release a remastered CD edition of Dextronaut in December. This will be a double CD edition including bonus ambient tracks.

Track listing:
Disc 1 "Dextronaut" : Bloodletting / Infinite Plateau / Nest Of Hate / Perched On A Neverending Peak / Setting Off The Twilight / A Year Of Decembers / Reverie / World Untouched By Mankind

Taken from FMP:

Early lost material finally comes to light. Completely Re-mastered with a new sound and layout. Comes with a bonus CD featuring cold/ambient music.

--The first full length preparation with 8888 track recording. Concept based on the journeys experienced with dissociatives to achieve a true lunar black metal recording. Songs recorded and compiled over the course of 18 months. Extremely raw Chronicle/Compilation.

Strangely enough, there is no longer any mention of Velvet Cacoon's (supposed) next album PaoPP33 anywhere on the FMP web. Velvet Cacoon's web site was down for a while, and right now this image is all you'll find there:

Velvet Cacoon - P aa opal Poere Pr. 33

, , ,

Full Moon Productions mention the upcoming Velvet Cacoon album in their latest news letter:

"P aa opal Poere Pr. 33" is a two and half year endeavor of slowly sculpted soft black seadrones. This is the Ocean floor; depth is narcotic, head-pressure forces the eyes closed and deep sea comatose gradually takes over. Tiny humand that curve like violins, ivory in hue, posing for poems in the aquatic nightscape - muses for the moon. Out later this year on Full Moon Productions.

Tracklist: 2 / Claverie / Grevona / Marylux / Oviamore / Sovarine / Flouvonne

Sounds like VC will be going back to the ambient style again with this album, although I hope that the mentioned description of "black" is well founded. Velvet Cacoon's official website states a mid-October release for the album.
