Black Metal, Southern Lord, Orcustus, New Release

Orcustus' long awaited first and last album "Transdimensional Holocaust" is according to rumours recorded, mixed and mastered and will be out on Southern Lord within six months. After this, Orcustus will supposedly disband.

The previously reported Orcustus single entitled Lucifuge Damnation has been cancelled. Read this over at the label Hell Attacks' web site:

Due to the different problems here and there, so ORCUSTUS as HELL ATTACKS Prods. We decided to canceled the ORCUSTUS - "Lucifugue Damnation" 7"EP, by the way we will never fill the space which was designed to that release, so HA008 will be a Void in the Distant of…

A bit of a disappointment, suppose we'll just have to stay patient and wait for the debut album on Southern Lord sometime.

Orcustus - Lucifuge Damnation 7" EP

Orcustus, Vinyl, Black Metal

Orcustus' "Lucifuge Damnation" EP is going to be released on 7" vinyl through Hell Attacks (together with either Odium Records or Black Altar). Limited edition picture disc in 666 copies with a two-sided poster, ready for release in August or September.

Meanwhile, Orcustus are getting ready to record their debut album in ANP Studios, Sandnes Norway. The album has been scheduled for release through Southern Lord since 2005, so things seem to have been moving slowly. The rehearsal tapes sound extremely promising, so this is one to look forward to.
