Northern Vantage

It seems from various web sources that there are a lot of Striborg releases underway. Thanks to Ben Bailey of Asgard Musik for additional info and confirmation of some of the info.

Two new CDs will be out on Asgard this autumn (that would be the spring in Australia...).

• "Misanthropic Isolation / Roaming The Forest" CD (Oct 06)
  
• "In The Heart Of The Rainforest" + other tracks CD ("By the end of the year")
  

Asgard will release some Striborg vinyl records, but that won't be until next year. Asgard have the rights for "Misanthropic Isolation" and "Depressive Hibernation" so far.

Striborg will also be contributing an exclusive track to a cd box set out on Asgard in January.

Displeased will release the brand new Striborg album, called "Nefaria / A Tragic Journey Towards the Light". This album is recorded and delivered to Displeased, but Sin Nanna is apparently still unsure as to when it is to be released. I myself got no answer from Displeased when I tried to email them. Striborg is signed to Displeased for the next 4-5 years, so we will see some more releases coming through them. Sin Nanna has either recorded the next album after "Nefaria..." or is currently rehearsing the material for it, depending on the source. Allegedly, this album will be called "Ghostwoodlands" and consist of two 25 minute tracks.

German label Black Hate Productions is planning on releasing "Trepidation" on double LP. I emailed Black Hate about this, but nothing is definite yet. And the label tells me that it takes time to negotioate through the mail...

There is a split CD with Wold coming. The Striborg half will be a rerelease of the "Cold Winter Moon" demo.

The aforementioned split with Xasthur will feature a new Striborg song.

Finally, a previous catalogue from Sin Nanna's label Finsternis tells that ISO-666 and Regimental each will reissue Striborg CDs, but I have no more info on this right now.
