NoteMe

Off it flew, and on time as well:

, ,

It's been a fun experience to see a bird getting born this way, and see it fly out the window, and that on time as well.

It's out, and it has been a great ride. I'm happy with the result, and I am very happy with how it came about. But what pleased me the most was that we managed to stick to the time schedule. Before I started here and was just one of the fans who kept refreshing the desktopteam blog to see if a new build was out what irritated me the most was the long wait and the delays before 9.5 came out. For me as a user that was unbearable. And that is probably why I appreciate it so much now when I am on the team that we managed to keep the schedule so precisely. It would be nice if peregrine followed 9.6s example.

I have been thinking about this quite a lot the last few weeks when I have seen we have been more or less reached all the milestones to the day. And that is probably why I found what i am about to show so funny. Or maybe I just found it funny for no reason at all. Well it goes like this. The other day one of our team members (Anders) broke his finger. He went to the doctor and got a cast on his hand so he really can't move the fingers on his hand at all. But that didn't stop him at all. I went over to his desk to ask him about something, and I saw him there typing with two hands. But no, he wasn't using his fingers, but had used tape to glue a pencil on his cast and used the pencil on his right hand to type with, that way he could still use two arms. It was quite a sight I can tell you.

But about those schedules. Don't I have a milestone for my Peregrine project to catch today. Looks like I have, so off I go. The last thing I want to do is to not keep my own schedule.

heh, pretty smart idea to tape a pencil on the cast :D

I would've just tried to learn typing fast with one hand =)

I would have done the same if it wasn't for him breaking the right arm and not the left one. Left hand writing is just awkward.

last month many of our Opera friends had toe problems...
I did post about toes to celebrate their recovery,

I am delighted to see 9.6 being the choice of a million plus!!

Thanks, although it was not my finger that broke. It was Anders's, on of our Mac devs. But I'll send him the link for sure
