The Idea:
While reading Opera watch the other day an idea popped up in my mind. Usually I get ideas like this all the time, and I never find time to do anything about it. Due to heavy workload at work, and the amount of ideas I get, I rarely do anything about them. When it comes to my spare time and hobby projects, I am a master of Procrastination really. But this time (have we heard it before), I'll try to make an exception. And hope to make it the exception that confirms the rule.
Here We Go:
It didn't take me long to find out this will be tougher than I first thought. First I needed somewhere to publish the idea when it is ready. My usual blog would be the usual way, but striving after making by blog more personal I got the idea to use my free space here at My Opera. And then I was sold. I couldn't leave the standard theme as it was. It had to be changed. And with the amount of spare time I have these days, suddenly a week as nearly passed away, and it is still not that altered, and neither finished. I think I have to wrap it up soon, and say enough is enough. I am no designer after all. I couldn't draw anything but a stick figure if my life depended on it anyway.
Getting There:
I'm just writing this first blog entry now to notify you all that something is on it's way. First of all the idea will be realized, hopefully a beta by the end of this week. But it will also contain random thoughts about Opera. Ideas for the future, useful help on the browser itself and maybe some extensions for you to add to your own Opera browser. If you hoped to read what I do for a living, where I will go to for my next vacation or what nifty application I'm working on when I am not thinking about ways to improve Opera. Well then this is not the place, then I suggest you take a look at my original blog every now and then. I'll try to update that one more frequently from now on as well. "Procrastination, no more".
PS:
The rest of the styling (like fixing the background picture so you can actually read something), and fixing the glitches around will have to be done now and then. For some reason I never get that 25th hour a day for Christmas, so it has to be like that for now.
