NESell Phone Ringtones

Erro? Mario Iz Dat U? Erro? Hmm, I guess it's just my boss at work. I better hang up on her just in-case Mario calls again.

Ok, seriously this is one of the funnest (a word?) real-life-cheat-codes I have run into yet. Basically you can deck your mobile phone out with all of the Nintendo midi ring-tones you wish! the best part is it's really honestly free, and you don't sign up for it either. So far the only phone I have been able to get it to work on is the Motorolla RAZR V3m (with verizon service). But I hope you all can help out and give us your answers to other models and networks!

Instructions:
  • Go to VGmusic and download any of the billions of midi files they have into a folder on your computer.
  • Open whatever e-mail service you have and compose a new message. Make sure you attatch the Midi file to your message and mail it to your phone. - This step is where you need specifics, with the phone model/service I have provided the address will be '###-###-####@vzwpix.com' replace the # signs with your phone number. I am assuming any verizon phone that is capable of playing and recieving midi files will use the same instruction.

Those are all the instructions for the Verizon Razr V3m. Please let us know if you have any alternate directions that work. - Now MY personal phone scheme is Pokemon. Whenever I get a phone call it's the "Wild Pokemon Attacked" song, and the text messages are "Item Found". I have already mailed myself a sonic the hedgehog theme, metroid theme, and zelda theme. If you mail yourself pictures, you can use those as wallpapers to!

-BTW, the image provided is a case-mod for a cell-phone. The guy may actually be talking to someone, be nice.

alternatively, if you have a phone with removable memory (SD, Memory Stick, etc.) you can load them right onto your phone.

Just send it via Bluetooth.

Oh, you said Verizon... ooo, ouch! p They do data cables, though, right?

I've got an MP3 of the battle music from Super Mario RPG I use for my sweeties custom ring tone with the opening of Shonen Knife's cover of Top Of The World for an alert tone chaser.

This is my message tone. It is the besterest there is. Brings a smile to my face whenever I get a message!

Xoder writes: Just as an FYI, although I haven't tried it for anything but text messaging, the email address of any (US) T-Mobile phone is ##########@tmomail.net (replace the octothorpes with your number). But as StrawHousePig says, Bluetooth is ideal, as it doesn't use the network at all.

octothorpes

also this:

my call sound is the call sound from Metal Gear Solid 2

text message is either the "!" sound from MGS, the pager sound from Grand Theft Auto 3 (which I made), or the treasure sound from Zelda
