Thank goodness for the powerhouse that is Nintendo. Initially I disliked the idea, that you could just port anything over to the DS (and now Wii), I was big on original content. I STILL am big on original conent. The great news is that the DS has a great big cushion of original conent to soften the blow for me on ports. Now I am comfortable with all the ports coming this way. I mean, rumors of MegaMan X on DS are very lightly fluttering around the internet, but they get my heart fluttering as well. And other Confirmed ports make me grin a devil-smile...

Geometry Wars: Galaxies has been confirmed for the DS and Wii, I am in heaven. I was going to get an X360 for 2 single games... Resident Evil 5, and Gemoetry Wars. But now that this game is going to grace both my favorite systems, there is less reason for me to buy this other machine!

Nintendo Power Magazine has confirmed that the game is headed their way. IGN reports that the "Galaxies" edition will be exclusive to the Nintendo systems, including single player and multiplayer modes. Wii will feature motion sensitive controls, while the DS will be using touch sensitive controls. They also report that the "Retro Evolved" form of the game (think 360) will also be included in this set-up if you want yours decaf. The game is expected to ship this fall.

Now only if Resident Evil 5 was confirmed for Wii...
