The Wii Prints Money Too: Wii Surpasses 360 in Worldwide Sales

Of course you're looking at the chart right! The Wii has surpassed the Xbox 360 in total worldwide sales by a margin of .2%. That may not seem like much, but when you consider the 360 had about a year head start, it not only means the Wii sold more consoles in about half the time 360 has been on the market, it also means that the Wii is now the fastest selling console ever released.

The 360 did have a head start, but a lot of people are buying the Wii due to the hype from the media. Most gaming sites don't care for the Wii, but now with some good games actually coming out that might change.

I'm curious to see software sales. I bet you anything that the 360 and maybe even the PS3 are selling more games than the Wii. Honestly there are not even a handful of Wii games that are worth while. Metroid is next week so we will see how that does. I won't pick it up mainly since I didn't care for the other two, I'm weird.

Microsoft played their cards well. But Nintendo got lucky and got better cards on their hand.

And I'd say Zelda:TP and Excite Truck are worthwile. But sadly I beat them both too soon and now I'm playing the first Metroid Prime and games for the VC. Any suggestions for a good Wii game?

Yeah congats Nintendo! They have done pretty well! I hope Soney and Microsoft (especially Sony) keep selling consoles. It will help the whole industry.

That's older, but still interesting to see that two Wii games are up there. I really don't know why people buy Wii Play, but oh well. DS games I know are always up there, I think everybody in America has a DS already.

I'd like to see which version of Madden sells the most. If the Wii one sells the most I might shit my pants.
