It was announced today that Nintendo and Opera have released a new version of the Internet Channel (IC) for the Nintendo Wii. Updated with new features, shortcuts, and widgets, it is a brand new piece of software that you don't wat to miss.
Featuring anything you could want for web browsing with a remote, the Internet Channel - Powered By Opera will make you dance with glee, or some other feeling of jubilation.
Read on for a full list of new features and fun.
You can now share websites with your friends easier than ever before. There is a small link in the Wii IC Toolbar where you can send the webpage to friends, family, enemies, whoever. It's a faster way to spread information such as Wii-specific online games, etc.
A major new element is the inclusion of USB keyboard support. Now you can type quickly and easily while using the Wii, incase your computer breaks or something! New keyboard shortcuts help make typing easier if you decide to use the Wii Remote, such as holding the 'B' button will toggle the 'Shift' key.
Also included with the new update is the ability to highlight text for a quick search. Just highlight text with the Remote, and hit search, automatically searching the term. There is now a URL editing option for fixing mistyped URLs, and a new Page Information button that tells you the page URL, Title, and security information.
Widgets! By visiting http://widgets.opera.com you can launch widgets for use on the web browser. Be it newsfeeds, calendars, clocks, games, whatever, you can now view them on the Wii! The number of 'Wiidgets' is ever-growing, and you can make your own widgets Wii-compatible when you publish them to opera.com.
Your maximum number of Favorites you can hold has been increased to 56, and you can send those to friends via WiiConnect24. Some graphical enhancements ahve also been implemented, such as telling the browser to ignore white space at the top and bottom of documents, the Zoom feature will let you know when an image has reached it's native size, and some other things have been updated, such as toolbars, different colors, etc. (The new toolbar buttons look awesome when scrolled over!) Security and Stability have also been enhanced.
This upgrade is free to all existing Internet Channel users. However, if you do not have the Internet Channel previously downloaded on your system, it costs 500 Wii Points (about $5 USD).
If you would like to spread the news, please Digg the crap out of it.

I'm looking for a nice wireless keyboard myself, and am open to suggestions. Ideally, it should look nice in my living room, doesn't have a number pad, and costs less than $100.
