Today in North America, Grasshopper Manufacture and Suda 51 launch No More Heroes!
All of our daily Nplussers know that most of the mods here are pretty pumped about this game, and have been doing our best to spread the Grasshopper Manufacture name around, we really love the studio and think that they have some sort of magical touch with the artwork that is video games. We have our Image Gallery all pumped up for you, collected Movies and Music for you to enjoy, Cosplay.ed as the main hero, voted it our most anticipated 3rd party game of 2008, and Captain Seagull Designed N+ to show off one of the main bad guys in the game, "Dr.Peace" (CSS by Khadgar).

P.S. "Dr.Peace" is also available as a wallpaper!

CaptainSeagull: Yeah, I've -almost- got used to that. Quite annoying. I actually complained to several major retailers and voiced my concerns to Nintendo when SMG wasn't out on the "release date." Apparently, my message was "forwarded to the correct department" but I "shouldn't expect a response."

Capt'n it's still about 4 weeks before me though smile

With all the word of mouth going around this game sounds like it might do better in the US then it did in Japan.

Although saying that there was a lot of word of mind surrounding the fantastic Zack and Wiki and that didnt do too well unfortunately.

AntonCaptainSeagull Wednesday, January 23, 2008 4:16:12 PM

true, i have been thinking about that alot. But he did design this game specifically for the US. which means nothing for europe sadly.

i feel bad for suda, and bad for us as consumers, i don't think he will ever get a blockbuster hit, I think all his games are going to forever be amazing "sleeper hits" because most people don't care about style, all they want is halos or mario mini-games anymore. I hope this at least does well in the US and Euro regions, i don't want grasshopper discouraged, this guy and his team is a godsend to what may be looked at as a stale industry. Thankfully he is also young, he will be around for a while, what will we do when Miyamoto fully retires?

Ooh, I'm gonna check it out.

Robbiemoirob Tuesday, January 29, 2008 2:54:23 PM

Let's not even think about what happens when Miyamoto retires. He needs to be cyrgenically frozen so we can thaw him out now and then and ask him for gaming ideas.
