Confirmed: Rock Band Headed to Wii

, , , , ,

Rock Band has been very well received. Some outlets named it their best game of 2007, and many claimed it was the most innovative. Only one problem: it wasn't released on any Nintendo systems. What's a Wii fan to do? Wait? This time, it seems the waiting and hoping paid off because in a conference call yesterday, the CEO of Electronic Arts confirmed that a Wii version of Rock Band is in the works.

No release date or further information has been announced, but I can tell you one thing: it will be awesome.

It will be very interesting to see how Rock Band translates to the Wii. I myself am not a terribly big fan of Rock Band. I and many of my friends play drums and find that playing drums in the game is damn near impossible. The singing is fun, but most people are more interested in playing an "instrument". Having said that, Rock Band is no better than Guitar Hero. Unless They do something with the drumming aspect of the game I will not bother playing this Guitar Hero knock off.

I won't buy it, it's WAY too much money for the short lived fun. But as long as they keep Beastie Boys "Sabatoge" in the game, you will find me time to time taking on the Vocals... on the most difficult setting! Man i ROCK that song!

I'll pull a Conan and sing Sabatoge as the lady from All My Children.

I don't know why I want it. I can just play drums in my room whenever I want.

I want to be rewarded with points!!
